Im 6ft 4, 275 and I wear a 4xlt normally. Broad shoulders too. I found these shirts here on Amazon and was so happy with my purchase I have bought several other colors as well. The fit is nice, its not too short (unlike a LOT of Columbia's other shirts). If its tall, it should almost reach the bottom of my zipper. Anything less shouldnt be labeled as tall. This is just the right length. Shoulders fit well, and the seam falls nicely as it should. No overlap or under cut shoulders. The vent in the back is less conspicuous than the Bonehead or trollers best shirts (i dont like feeling like Im wearing a cape), and the colors are good too. Id like to see ALL of their colors in 4xlt instead of a few. There are several Id still like to buy if they had more colors available in my size. Pockets are "hook and loop" or velcro close which is fine by me, but may not be for you if you dont like velcro. There is just two pockets on the front which means I can wear this for all sorts of things and not look like a fisher(man) out of water. I wear undershirts, so the synthetic material isnt irritating my skin, but its very lightweight and airy. Love it. Id like to see more of the "Super" series in my size too. Neat colors there too. Comparing to other button up shirts from Columbia: Slack Tide - fits a little slimmer (and just a bit shorter) than the low drag. Nice hem on the bottom, I can tuck it in or leave it out, just like the low drag. Single pocket camp shirt with nice designs and colors (again, id like to see more in the extended sizes please!). Back vent is the same as the low drag/Tamiami. "Super" versions have good designs too. Ive got quite a few of these shirts as well. Bonehead - has the "cape" in back, and runs large, wrinkles much more easily, cut larger, but still a tad short. WAY too many pockets for anything other than fishing. Rapid Rivers - Cotton, fits well, no vent. I still like them though! Correct length, but it does shrink slightly due to being almost all cotton. Not to the point of being unwearable, but if youre on the cusp of two sizes, get the bigger one to account for shrinkage. Designs are nice, would like to see more colors available. Ive got a few and will probably buy more. Bahama - slightly better fit than bonehead, but still a ton of pockets. weird rise on the side too, that I do not care for. If the whole short had a bottom like the Low Drag, it would be more appealing. Still wrinkles a lot even though its synthetic. "Super" versions have neat designs and patterns. Has the "cape" vent on the backside. Sent it back. Tamiami - light and airy like the low drag, but runs a little shorter. Still better than the two previous ones in length though. LOTS of pockets, but they are a little more sheer against the short so it doesnt look bad when wearing them at the office or for a casual event. Hanging them up, wrinkles just disappear. Back vents are cut like the low drag and are less conspicuous. Wish it had a bottom hem like the Low Drag. Instead it has a slight rise, but not as bad as other shirts from Columbia. Ive got a few but probably wont buy more because I prefer the other shirts cuts a little better. Silver Ridge - runs short (seriously guys...tall should be to the bottom of the fly) and a little slimmer, but still comfy. Sleeves will go from just right to way too long if you upsize. Lots of plaid designs but would love to see more colors. Wrinkles a lot but hanging reduces some. Kind of a noisy synthetic as well. Its very "swishy" when you move. Utilizer button ups - short like the Silver Ridge, but just as comfy and better colors available. Same issues with Swishy-ness. Half Moon - was not for me. Odd fit (the rise on the side is more than the bahama), short, wrinkles a lot, pockets were strange and netted on the outside, so it looked strange wearing it anywhere but the beach. "Cape" style backside. Hope that helps with your decision making!
