Apparently, my thick battle skull is just at the limits of this product's size range, a sit fits, in some configurations, but I tried it as a neck gaiter and it strangled me, gently, but it strangled me. I tried it in the ninja mask configuration and the strangulation became less gentle. Not dangerous by any stretch of the imagination, but tolerable would be the best I could say. In a standard configuration as a head cover, I like it a lot. That said, the edges will roll up a tad, and it wants to come upward off my giant noggin, so i periodically must pull it back down. It sounds like more of a hassle than it is, but it's there, and if I were engaged in something hand-intensive, and couldn't regularly readjust it, it would prove far less useful than it currently is to me. I keep my head shaved bald, and wanted something as a basic layer for days when it's moderately cool outside. What I've discovered about this wrap is, it's great when it's hot to keep the sun off my head, and it's nice when it's cool, but it especially shines when it's cold, as it gives me a base layer under my hoodie or a more intensive hat that dramatically increases the heat retention of whatever else i'm wearing for warmth. In hot weather, it breathes well, so I don't super hot, and the sweat softens the fabric somewhat so it moves around less. I'm very much considering a second one to keep at home, as this one travels in my EDC bag everywhere, when it's not on my head. A spare would give me greater confidence that I would never be far from one, and at this point, i like it enough that I don't want to have to search for one. It's more vital to my every day apparel than underwear, and that's very impressive to me.
