Not the same as the picture

We saw this model on display at our local hardware store. We tested our dishwasher adapter where the silver tip is and it was a perfect fit. We ordered this same model. That metal ring is no longer there and our adapter will not fit this. The display picture on the box and the listing does not depict the actual product.

Not the same as the original - water flow reduced? - No copper fittings

I purchased an installed a previous model between ten and fifteen years ago. This replaced it once it started to wear out. The previous model had copper lines and a steel braided line to the spicket. This model has a plastic lines to the spicket and plastic lines to the water supplies (hot and cold). The lines from the water supply are thinner (I/O) and it seems like the output was reduced. I wish that I had purchesed two of the original and put one in the closet for future use. This is a downgrade. I dont know what the longevity of the plastic will be, but it isn't as good as copper. Also, I'm really not happy about reduced water pressure. It is noticable and dissapointing. See the review from "L Mastro" below. Its pretty spot on. It sounds like the same exact result that I had.

Perfect replacement for my older

Perfect replacement for my older, same model faucet. Plumber had far more issue getting the old one out than the new one in! There's some uncertainty out there as to how big this faucet is. They may have made a larger version at some point. I advise you to measure your existing faucet for reference. For me, the smaller size is the exact reason I wanted a perfect match replacement -- anything bigger, which is pretty much everything at Home Depot, would be too big for my sink. One slightly ding to this: The sound of water flowing through the unit is slightly loud. I don't know why and it's not objectionable, but keep this in mind if a "luxury" vibe to your kitchen is the most important thing in life.

Really disappointed with this faucet

We purchased this faucet to replace the exact same one we installed about 10 years ago. From the "outside" it appears the same, however the quality is sorely lacking. The hose, like others have noted, is not steel, it's now reinforced nylon and although the weight supplied to keep it from kinking under the sink is a good idea, it does not pull out and retract in the same smooth way as the steel one...and unfortunately the connections are part of the hose and don't allow the switch back to the old steel one. Also, the head of the faucet does not seat properly when it's placed back into the stem, leaving 1/4" gap between the two sections and more often than not, it falls out into the sink. Even the pump soap dispenser is not as easy to press and does not dispense the dish soap without using quite alot of pressure. Disappointing and annoying, considering all the time spent at the sink! 10/16/2013 - Want to add something I forgot to mention about this faucet. There is an very obvious "low flow" valve on the faucet, as it now takes twice as long to fill pots, glasses, buckets etc. as the old one. Just one more disappointing (improved) feature. If there were not all the other negatives, this one would not be quite so irritating...but unfortunately it's one of many.

What is so great about this faucet is that you don't have to ...

Our second one of these - one in the kitchen, the other in the laundry room. What is so great about this faucet is that you don't have to hold in the button to keep the sprayer engaged. You push the button one way for a stream of water, the other way for a spray. Either way, it is locked and stays in position after the water is turned off and on again. I needed that feature because I use the spray position nearly 100% of the time, and it drives me nuts when the sprayer disengages every time the water is turned off. Beautiful, long-lasting finish, and Delta's customer service is the best - we've had great luck with them.

Delta customer service saves the day

Six months since installation, and the finish is holding beautifully against the daily wear and tear of our larger family. The valve began to leak and we contacted Delta about it. No hassle or fuss, they were very helpful, and they're sending the necessary parts to fix the valve.

Is deep enough to fit through quartz countertop and Blanco Silgranite Undermount Sink

Okay, maybe it isn't as good in quality as the original 470 DST it replaced. However, it installed in minutes and works perfectly well. I didn't realize that a quartz countertop and undermount Blanco Silgranite sink add up to a depth of almost 2". So when I went to replace my faucets I checked reviews and decided against the Delta 470. But, upon trying to install the Kohler 15160-CP Coralais (which is much higher quality) I found it too short to tighten the nut underneath. Then, upon checking the detailed specs on a dozen different manufacturers' websites, I realized the Delta DST 470 was the best fit for my requirements. If you have a standard countertop and sink then I recommend the Kohler. If you are stuck with a designer crap sink that came with the house then I recommend the Delta.
