Preferred something better/different but worked
Okay, first I have to comment that this costume was purchased for All Saints Day. My daughter wanted to be St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the ONLY Native American Saint. So when I did a search of 1650's Mohawk Native American Costumes there really isn't ANYTHING to choose. So for the reviewers' comments on "racism" which really in fact is "offensive" what was I to do but to purchase the closest thing I could find but this costume so she could represent a Native American Saint that she absolutely fell in love with when we were researching saints. By the way she is only 7 and only understands that St. Tekakwitha was Native American and when we looked at pictorial representations of her the first words out of her mouth was, "she is so beautiful." Yes I would agree the tommy hawk is a bit offensive and could have been left off the picture of the costume. We had a discussion of historical dressing in the 1600's versus current dressing. Fashions change, and I don't care what culture you are describing. At any rate, the costume itself is okay, it served its purpose of wearing it for the day. Luckily she wore it over her school uniform or she wouldn't have been wearing it at all. The dress is more shirt length than dress length and my 7 year old is not extremely tall for her age. The material is typical cheap Halloween costume material, but for the price I paid I didn't expect much more than what I received. The headband is simply a strip of brown fabric with no feather. The outfit does come with a fabric piece of material with a Velcro piece on it that serves as the belt. I am really not sure if I would recommend this as a costume to wear by itself. It is too short and too thin in my mind to wear by itself. Maybe I am too modest, but that is my opinion. Overall it is just an okay costume, and it did serve a one time purpose for my daughter on All Saints' Day. If ANYONE has a better more historical site to buy Native American costumes to represent an awesome Native American woman like St. Tekakwitha it would be greatly appreciated because my 9 year old wants to represent her next year. I personally believe it is not disrespectful to represent and spread the word about an amazing woman who did a lot of great things. My daughter received lots of questions about who Tekakwitha was and about her heritage. Maybe I am wrong, but how is that offensive?

Great outfit.
-click helpful if helpful- It is a bit thin. However...my daughter wore it for native Americans day at school and it was a huge hit. She loved it and so did all her friends. It does run large but since it comes with a detachable belt I was able to make it tighter and it worked perfectly.

Just perfect.
We ordered this for our daughter because she had a geological class project. Her character was Sacagawea and the kids had to either dress up the part or make sock puppets. Needles to say it fit her perfect, and looked great for the one time use. She scored an A as well ????

Great costume for the price
Very Happy with this purchase. The outfit was very cute and fit as expected. Comes in one piece and with 1 belt and 1 headband. We knew from checking the description that it did NOT include the tomahawk or purse but that was not a problem and we knew before hand. I would definitely recommend.

Great for the price.
For the price, this costume is good quality and cute. We bought it at the last minute for our daughter to dress at St. Kateri Tekakwitha. It fit the bill and will likely survive for quite awhile the harsh treatment that our much-used dress-up clothes undergo. Please note that the dress, headband and belt come with the package. The shoes, purse, feather and tomahawk do not.

Cute costume
My daughter is a very slender size 8. The medium was a good fit. We got the costumer for a school project and it met our expectation perfectly. Now she has something new to play dress up in as well. It was easy enough for her to put on without help, and looked really cute.

Happy customer
This costume was well made and very cute. Great deal. It came with the dress and belt and headband. The applique on the front was cute. The headband came without the feather but we easily glued on our own red feather. We ordered Forum Children's Hippie Native American Moccasins to go along with it, it went really well together.

Indian Costume
This costume was a last minute costume it was very nice but at the same time very low budget. The belt NO GOOD. I had to buy a head band with a feather because it does NOT come with it The little hammer this little girl has it does NOT come with it either. The Indian dress is very NICE and totally Indian like. The shoes nor the purse does NOT come with it either The accessories are totally LOW BUDGET
