Beautiful lantern, disappointing instillation instructions

This is a well-built lantern, a big improvement over the one we replaced. Looks very classy on our front porch. Beveled glass is a nice touch. So, zero problems with the product. Big problem with the instruction sheet which is a confusing inventory of parts, a schematic of the placement of the parts during instillation, and no instructions on where to put the 4 padding strips that come with the light....at the top of the beveled glass inserts? The bottom? I guessed the top and that worked out just fine. No guidance on unscrewing the mounting slots on the bottom. Nothing. And, how do you hang the lantern chain to the lantern and to the mounting hardware at the electrical box if quick links are not included? If you happen to be very strong, and have two pairs of heavy duty pliers, you can pry a link apart, attach the chain, and then use the tools to close the link. But they will get scratched, so not ideal. If an electrician shows up to install the light, unless s/he has quick links on the truck, it is a trip to the store, or they pry the links apart. I don't wish to downgrade the quality of the lamp, hence 5 stars, but if I could grade the company's consideration for the customer, I'd give them 2 or 3 stars. BTW, very well packaged. If you're not handy, plan ahead, order a pair of quick links that match the chain (oiled brass or black), and hire an electrician.

missing cover plate

When opening the package I was missing the cover plate, 2 of the lights had them 2 of them did not. Is there a way of shipping one as soon as possible?

Stylish but medium quality

This is a pretty well-made piece and stylish. It’s all metal construction and the beveled glass is thick. The only issue is the finish, as it’s a coating and not the metal itself. I expect this to last 5-10years, not 25+ like the cast brass fixtures. Of course, those are 2-3x the cost. All in all, decent quality for the cost.
