Want silent mode? There's a quick and easy fix for that.

I bought this wireless doorbell because it's completely battery powered and has a super bright LED flash. However, I also wanted a silent mode (full disclosure: I'm using this in my cubicle at work so people can get my attention since I wear headphones and have my back to the room). This does not have a mute or silent mode out of the box, but it's quick and easy to change that. Remove the batteries, unscrew the four screws, and open it up. The speaker hooks into a little connector. Just pull that out, reassemble, and you have a silent doorbell! Best of all: If you ever wanted to enable the speaker again down the road, all you need to do is open it up again and pop the connector back into place. Simple. I expected to need to clip wires and destroy this thing to make it silent, but happily I don't have to.

Nice Wireless Doorbell

I bought this for my mom. I installed the push button outside in about 5 minutes. The inside bell is made to either hang on a wall or be freestanding. It has about 32 different chimes, from bells to bird calls. The volume is adjustable. Overall, a good wireless doorbell.

Easy to install, easy to use, works through my 60's walls

I have a lot of issues with signals working through the walls of my 1960's home. Wifi, Cell, TV(over the air), etc. This little doorbell works fine for me though. Rings every time. loud enough to easily hear it, and I appreciate the fact that it lights/blinks as well as chimes. I have a hard of hearing person in the home and they can easily see it light up from the rooms they are typically in. Would recommend to anyone. Would also note: if you want to screw this to your wall, you will have to pilot hole through the casing of the doorbell. Which is somewhat annoying, but I just used the adhesive so we'll see how long it sticks.

This wireless doorbell has worked will so far, but I've only had it for a couple weeks. We had a similar GE doorbell that failed after 1-1/2 years, way too soon. I gave it average ratings for volume control and weatherproof because I have not tested those features. I don't even know if the volume is controllable, but the out-of-the-box setting was fine.

Narrow push button & simple & easily installed doorbell

This is the type of simple 2 ring tone doorbell with an adjustment volume button just under the doorbell unit. I set it to the traditional 'ding dong' tone and can put it where ever I want. I have been looking for a narrow enough push button to put on my narrow door frame of 1 inch, and this is by far the narrowest I can find. One thing I have to comment is that the product advertised mentioned the size of the doorbell but NOT the pushbutton so I had to take the chance. Since it mentions the push button uses a CR2032 button battery so I estimated that the pushbutton should be just a little bit wider than than it.
