a great pan in every way

This is my 3rd pan from Anolon, and it’s the best so far. The first two lasted 10 years, so I’m not concerned about durability. The handles stay cool and any food bits rinse off easily. Highly recommended!

Initial assessment: you'll be happy with it

Needed to replace a Calphalon that I had really loved - AT FIRST. Non-stick coating DID NOT hold up well. Was very disappointed, but that pan had a great shape and depth. This pan has fairly steep sides, unlike your typical skillet. So it's more of a saute pan. Handle is quite substantial which suits me fine. I find slender pan handles hard to deal with. Lid looks well-constructed. Seems like it will hold up to same oven temps as the pan (although I don't remember ever putting a lid on a pan that I put in the oven). First use: eggs over easy * The time to heat the pan up was NOTICEABLY longer. Don't let this turn you off. That's because of the large steel plate in the bottom which ensures awesome heat distribution and good heat retention. Recommend you heat it initially at slightly higher heat than you want, and then immediately turn down when it gets to approximately right temp. * The nonstick lived up to its name. Eggs were easy to flip and to get out. The only remaining question in my mind is how well the nonstick will hold up over, say, a 5 year period. But putting that aside for the moment, I am very happy with this purchase. I picked it up on sale, but I would have still been happy with it at the original price of $99.

My wife loves it to cook with and I love it when doing the dishes afterward.

We have owned may pans in the last 50 years, this is by far the best. Very lightweight, cooks evenly, great non-stick. But the best part is how easy it is to clean, just rinse, wipe and dry. No more scraping pans!!!

LOVE THIS FRYING PAN

I have an induction stove, so obviously, I need cookware that is induction friendly. I bought a different frying pan about a year ago. It is very large and heavy, HOWEVER, the stupid thing started sticking severely. I cannot say enough about the Anolon Accolade Forged Hard Anodized Nonstick Deep Frying Pan. It's not extremely heavy and the food comes out great. I LOVE IT. It's easy to clean, does not stick and that is now my "Go to" frying pan.

Great pan!

Whenever I’m cooking something that requires a larger skillet I use this one. It holds quite a bit and has never had anything stick or cook unevenly.

Best pan I've ever had!

Thick bottom takes a little longer to heat up but then holds its temperature well. Even heat distribution. Non-stick is excellent (even without spray oil which you are instructed NOT to use).

HOT HANDLES . . .

We switched to an induction stove last year and so had to change our pans. These are great for cooking and clean up easily, but unlike the old set of Anolon pans they do not have silicon protectors on the lid handles. I have now burnt my hand several times just forgetting to grab an over glove before quickly lifting the lid while boiling liquids. It's a real deficit in this set which I hope Anolon fixes in its design for next time!! My set has also got a tiny mark where the surface seems to have come off near the top of the saucepan - given that I only use silicon implements, and the description says you can use metal utensils, this is very disappointing.

Well built durable non-stick skillet

What I like about this pan is that it has high walls so food doesn't fall out, the non-stick works wonderfully. The handle is comfortable in the hand and is not rubberized so no question or doubt about using it in a hot oven. I've own Anolon Advanced before this product and it was also good but this pan (Accolade) is a newer version. 12 " pan is a sweet size, not too big, not too small. The glass lid comes in handy, a lot of non-stick skillets dont have a glass lid. The only negative thing I would have to say is that it is a bit heavy, especially when loaded up with food, which can be an annoyance for some people who have weak wrists/hands ie. elderly folks . I suspect this pan like Anolon's Advanced series will last a long time, these are quality durable pans but that relates to their cost.
