Are there any dyes? No. Is there any fragrance? Yes. Is this concentrated, to get more loads? No. Did our children suffer any allergic reaction(s)? No. Is this a liquid or powder? Powder. Is the price competitive? Yes. Is this hypoallergenic? I do not think so. Is this tough on baby stains? Middle of the road. Must I use a lot? Moderate to heavy. Was this pediatrician tested? No reference it was. Is this noted to be gentle on skin? No reference it is. Did I get a lot? Yes, over six (6) pounds of detergent. The bottom-line is that I am pleased with Ariel’s Powder Detergent with Oxi. Am I amazed by it? No. Even with the Oxi, if I do not pre-treat, this is not going to get baby diaper stains out of clothing on the first wash. Yeah, but do others? Yes, others can, but they are also liquids while this is a powder. Do I have to use a lot? Seems like I do, and I must use my own measuring cup, which I do not prefer. This detergent’s aroma is strong. The strongest I have ever encountered, but this is also the fluffiest powdered detergent I have ever encountered, so far, there is no clumping throughout any of the bag. That part is amazing. It flows like weighted down feathers. But again, that scent, dry, is almost choking. After the wash, you still can get the aroma, but it fades quickly and is not as perfume smelling as this detergent is when dry. It can literally fill a home with its aroma. From what I can tell, this is night a hypoallergenic detergent for our babies and toddler that is free of dyes and perfumes. Yet I wanted a detergent to at least get out stains and I must watch the budget. This worked well. Most stains were removed and there was no itching from its use. On tough stains, I did “not” presoak for several hours. Stains (diaper based) were only about 70% removed. We received a big 105-ounce bag, that’s over six (6) pounds of fluffy blue and white powdered laundry detergent, that offers 66 loads, and I believe we will get that from this bag. Heavy fragrance, which is not I wanted, but expected. The price is very competitive, especially for the work this detergent does, while keeping the allergic type reactions experienced by our children at bay. [Other reviews have noted a scent, I agree.] I use this in a high efficiency top loader, that has the classic full-sized agitator and can do a full fill of water (possibly that’s the reason for most stain removal – you need action and water to get stains out, more than the new-fangled rub the clothes together in a low water environment kind of action machines). The price is about 75% of the cost of some of the leading brands. The results are, at the very least, comparable. Yes, we would select this again. Be smart, ask your pediatrician their thoughts about its use. I hope my thoughts were informational.
