Seal next to floor not great.
Seems impossible to find a good dust pan with a tight seal on the edge where you sweep into the dust pan. This one is not different. The seal isn't tight, thus I have to sweep into the dustpan several times and it still leaves a line of dirt.

It's a Dustpan and Brush. That Said, You Should Buy It
I know you're sitting there, looking at dustpans and trying to decide which one to spend your hard earned money on. Should I get a basic white plastic one? Maybe splurge a little and get one with a rubber edge so it doesn't slide on the floor? I really don't want to spend too much money on one though! Well let me help you out - just buy this one. Seriously - you're debating the benefits of a dustpan. Stop it. Buy this one. I did on a whim and it was a good choice. I needed a dustpan for my kitchen and logged on to Amazon and bought one. Call me a rebel but I did it and I own it. This dustpan is pretty legit, though. Rubberized handles, snug fit for the brush in the pan, and a rubber lip on the dustpan. Plus it looks like it can hold 2-3 cups of waste material. "Two to three cups? That's it?" you might say. If you have more than 2-3 cups of waste on your floor I strongly urge you to buy a vacuum and determine the source of your excessive debris problem. In short, it's a dustpan and brush and it works. Buy it and revel quietly in your dustpan superiority.

Better Than A Standard Dustpan and Brush
The shape of the brush makes it easier to get into corners and smaller spaces, and the dustpan appears to be pretty durable. It would be ideal if both the brush and dustpan were bigger, but neither are too small to be effective. However, bristles on the brush started fraying after the first couple uses, and that issue has only gotten worse since then. The brush is still largely in tact, but it is somewhat misshapen. Additionally, things like dog hair, dust, etc., tend to get stuck in the bristles and have to removed manually, and the things stick to the dust pan, so it has to be wiped off in order to be fully emptied. Despite those issues, it’s still better than any dustpan and broom I have used, largely because of the shape of the brush and the fact that there is no lip on the edge of the dustpan, so things are easily swept into it.

Purrrfect for Kitty Litter! ^ↀᴥↀ^
I know it seems strange that a person would take time out of their busy day to write a glowing review of a dustpan but I just can't help myself. This simple little contraption is amazing. I have it hanging on a hook right next to my cat's litter box in one of our bathrooms. The brush is fine enough that it catches all of the scattered kitty litter on the first try, even the stuff caught in the grout between the tile, and the lip of the dust pan meets the floor perfectly so that all of the dust and litter ends up in the pan on the first pass. No more sweeping around for extended periods trying to clean up the area around the litter box! Even better, no more stepping on kitty litter that my old broom and dustpan missed! If you've ever had the unfortunate experience of accidentally stepping in scattered litter, you understand why I'm so thrilled! This ridiculously simple device has vastly improved the relationship I have with my fuzzy friend. Now we can both use the bathroom in peace! I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who has a cat.

Good for Guinea Pig Cages!
I used to have a smaller hand broom and dust pan like this to clean my guinea pig cage, but it vanished in the midst of a move. I ordered this one because I couldn't find the one I'd had before, and I prefer this one better. It's not too large that I can't get it into the guinea pig cage, but it's larger so I feel like the job goes faster than it used to. It's also a good size that it's feasible for me to use it to quickly sweep up all the nasty bedding that fell to the floor, whereas the old one was way too small, and I'd have to go grab the full size broom and dust pan to do that. TL;DR, if you own guinea pigs or similar pets their size, I'd recommend this to clean their cage with.
