shocks give out after a few months, but at the bottom out position is perfect for my style of fishing. also where the seat connects to the shaft where your lever is to adjust height broke on both ones i ordered about the time the shock give out. but my seat will stay on just pull it off before trailering.

Just what I needed

replaced an older rusty one. Just as described and perfect fit in the old holes.

Doesn’t like outdoor storage unless covered.

Cost more than it should, but it is an exact replacement for my boat chairs. They rust out and fail in a couple years if left outside uncovered.

Defective product

Due to a hip replacement I was unable to use my board until May 15. The product fell apart. The previous one I had lasted 10 years? Luckily the seat ended up in the boat and not on the highway. Or I would’ve been out another $150.

Great pedestal!

So far I love this pedestal. It looks and performs great. I cannot find any difference in the way this one performs to a factory installed version. I would highly recommend this one if you need some adjustment in your seating height. Love it!
