Not a good buy. Get a Dremel tool.

Good idea but not well done. The guides are plastic and not well built. Saw has a safety so you are limited in the size of product you can cut. Back guide is molded in and of little use.

Clean, precise, cuts

Works very well for cutting n scale flex and "solid" track. Replacement blade available thru Bachmann, so save your instruction paper.

Suspect used. No English instructions and broken and missing parts.

I didn’t pay a refurbished price for this. Was badly packaged with loose parts. Only German (?) and slightly ripped or abused instructions enclosed and no English instructions. Had a duplicate broken part enclosed as seen in pic 1. Thankfully the other duplicate is intact. One part for angles and wingnut as shown in illustration 6 and identified as part #7 of the Ubersicht parts table of German instructions is missing as shown in pic 2. Warning label sticker in corner is worn and coming off, and can’t be stuck back down as adhesive is worn or dirty so it won’t stick at all as seen in pic 3. Can’t say that I’m at all happy with my purchase. I expect to have a brand new and complete product for the high cost. Not recommending at that price.

The problem with this item wasn't resolved

The media could not be loaded. The track cutter doesn't work as advertised. And can't get it replaced or fixed by the seller or Amazon. I guess thanks to COVID19

Does a good job but has fault's. Price also could have been better.

So I bought this product here and it does a good job however though when I got it there was no English instruction's just I want too say Dutchland? language instructions. My gripe here is when I it came in the mail there was a nut off on the one screw bolt that's to help hold the on off switch etc in place and was easy enough to fix, however after that the piece to convert the AC plug to North American DC plug is not with out it's issue's as when I go to plug it in if I have it the wrong way around it gives off a quick spark a quick spark and I unplug it and turn it around, so far I have marked which way up since then to prevent any more quick spark's and too prevent damage too the unit. Further more the toggle switch that i pressed on and off by the swing arm for the cutting motor / grinder is iffy, some time's it comes on ok, other times I have to swivel it gently up and down to get it too turn on. At least (and I dunno if this is a safety feature or not) if you try to cut too fast the safety kill for the motor shut off works. Over all it is a decent unit however it is made from cheap plastic and the price, well I'm not sure what it costs to bulk ship these to Bachmann's warehouse in North America but I am sure they could resell these for a much and I mean much lower price then what I paid here in Canada.
