Installed outside commercial building

Paid $47.90 before tax in Aug 2020. Put the device outside my office for clients to drop off documents when i am not at the office. I have used only a handful of times. After a year of use, i have difficulty opening as the key pas to be pushed in by force and twisted with a little force to open. The box is constructed well but the key compartment is not, hence the 4 stars.

Very handsome but not secure

Much to like about this mailbox. it is handsome and lightweight. The problem is the slot where you drop stuff in. Its so wide that you can stick your hand right in and take stuff out. Whats the point of a lock box??? We had to return it and get something more secure.

You'll Probably Be Satisfied. I am.

After a few attempts ordering online, shopping in-stores (yes plural) and the overall frustration of actually finding a decent quality, larger capacity reasonably attractive mailbox, this one is the winner! (Yay.) Love this so far! Large enough capacity, lock operates very smoothly, nice heavier gauge metal. The door is self-closing and large enough for padded envelopes but not so large as to make theft too easy or tempting. So far mail has been kept dry, even without sealing gaskets. Arrived in sturdy packaging. Color is not quite the same as what is pictured but not a dealbreaker, still a medium to light neutral gray shade.

Mail Slot is not secure

I purchased this to have a place to store checks for our church. However, the mail slot is so big I could stick my hand in the slot and retrieve the contents, and my hand is not small. There is nothing in the design to prevent access through the mail slot. I had to return it.

It is sturdy and very neat looking. Easy to install. Only thing it is a bit hard to tell if something is in it without opening up.
