I was pleased with these boots, until...

I've been comfortably wearing these boots for almost 2 months when the plastic lacing clip broke off of the left boot. I wondered about the plastic clips if they would last long enough. Now I have my answer. They don't. The return window is closed so I guess I'm stuck with $130 mis-laced booties ☹️???? EDIT: The seller has not been any help but I did find that the manufacturer has a one-year warranty and I'm working with them to sort out the problem. - still disappointing and it broke this easily. I guess my older timberland pros that had metal clips seemed excessive, now I know why. They don't break off

1st impression..... Update coming

First impression Good looking boots, comfortable, sole seems to absorb shock very well. I've only had them on for a hour....so far I like them. I usually buy Keen boots for work but my current pair seems to stop absorbing shock on concrete after 3 months. Thought I would try these. I will update this review in a month and let you know how they do at work. These are a light boot....supposedly waterproof......that is what I was looking for. I bought a pair of timberland pro series and they were like having bricks strapped to my feet. I would have given these 5 stars but The eyelets at the top are not metal. I'm hoping they are made of a good composite that will not break....... Time will Tell.......... Well it's been about 2 or 3 weeks now and I've worn these 5 days a week on concrete for 8 hour shifts. The rubber they use for the souls is very shock absorbent. Still feels great on concrete. The leather uppers have gotten softer and more comfortable. I have to give these boots of thumbs up. I've walked through some deep puddles was no water leakage although I have not been called out in the rain for any extended period of time. These are a great shop mechanics boot.
