Decent cost effective option for a trim router

Much of my hard working bits are 1/2” but decided to pick up a 1/4” battery trim router and picked up this set. Been happy and has worked well for several projects i’ve used it on so far.

Reasonable price for good bits

Not the best router bits you can buy but fur the money they're great! I expect them to last awhile. I'll update this review if they don't.

Nice selection of high quality blades

I have paid $25-$30 for a few individual Freud bits when I got started. Wanted to expand with a set that provided me some options and ability to experiment. While the Bosch are more expensive than the import label brands, I am hoping they're actually better quality in terms of reliability and longevity. Just started using them and they seem to me to be build as well as the Freud. We will see over time

Perfect for Beginning Woodworker or Weekend Woodworker

This is a great set if you are a beginning woodworker, or maybe just plunging into using ¼" shank router bits. I have been using these primarily on my trim router, which requires the ¼" shank. Thus far, they have held up well, and have kept their sharp edges. These bits are made in China, unlike the Precision Pro bits, which are made in Taiwan (The Precision Pro are the bits that are sold singly for around $30). While these bets might not be top of the line for Bosch bits, I would say they would work perfectly for your weekend woodworker or beginner. If you're a contractor or cabinet maker who is constantly using your bits daily, then it's probably worth it to invest in the Precision Pro bits instead. This set also comes with a great variety as shown. There are a few different selections of flush cutting bits, straight bits, roundovers, and a few others. These are generally the bits that will get any beginner started. For around $70, this is a great deal for 15 commonly used bits. A beginning woodworker could then easily fill in the less common bits by buying those singly. I also love that these bets come in a very nice hard plastic case. I actually prefer when all of my bits are in the same place. I have several of the Precision Pro bits, and I'm not a huge fan of the big bulky case they come in. I tend to remove them from the plastic case and put them inside of my own bit holder anyways. This set is great because there's really no need to do that. The case is not huge, so It is quite easy to store in my shop. Overall, this is a great little set. You really can't go wrong with the price tag. These bits are perfect for getting any newer woodworker ready to start using their router. The variety in the set is fantastic. Plus, the case is nothing but a giant bonus. I would definitely recommend this set.

It has been my experience that Bosch products are usually the more quality option than other brands from the big box store. When I ordered this selection of quarter inch router bits I was extremely excited to get started working with them. It didn’t take me long to find a true appreciation For them that I saw lacking in previous cheaper brands. The Germans know how to make them!! These router bits come in a very nice container, each has its own slot, and the carbide is high-quality and sharp. The latch mechanism could be a little bit better, it’s merely a plastic slide, but at least , it stays tight and hasn’t loosened overtime. The hinge on the container works very well, and doesn’t get stuck when needing to swap out for the next tool. Without having the ability to swap the car line out on these router bits. I don’t think you can find a better set. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and they have been a pleasure to work with. I definitely recommend checking these out!!
