Worked for 99 chevy c2500 heater core hole

Had a stripped out heater hose connection on my 99 chevy c2500! The connector that goes into the engine snapped off!! Used this to clean/retap the hole for a new connector/fitting!! Trucks been running strong 5mths later no leaks!!

Excellent tap for the price. Blew a tooth after 16 tough holes.

16 holes in 1/4" steel were tapped/threaded to 1/2-14 NPT before the tap lost a tooth. I didn't have a problem with #17 hole either. I dip the whole tap in dark cutting oil, let the excess drip off and go at it with a ratchet, 5/8" 12 pt socket. It cuts the threads real nicely so far. This tap worked far better than the drill bits of was using!

Cuts nice!

Worked great to thread through 3/4" cast iron coffee roaster to install thermal probes. We made our own driver handle out of square steel tube and a piece of 3/8" rod because there were no handles locally which were large enough to fit this tap!

Cut nicely in aluminum with oil

Cut nicely in aluminum with oil, not much to say. I used a spline drive socket from Harbor Freight with the tap as it was too large for readily available tap wrenches.

Nice tool

Seemed sharp and hard and cut right into the pipe. I used it to remove a shower head pipe that had broken off in the fixture after an internal pipe wrench didn't work.

Good pipe tap. I used plenty of cutting oil and had no issues. Very sharp and good material.

Nice Tap

Cuts pretty easily. Just wish I could find a handle that would fit it.
