I bought these to protect my hands from the sun but they are also very good for handling slimy wriggling bait. nice light material dries quickly.

ridiculously too large

I love the Columbia brand, and I have several of their "PFG" long sleeved UV shirts, and a UV hat from them as well. Since there were only two sizes of these gloves, small or large, I got the large, as I wear a large in their PFG UV shirts. They are humorously too large. The index finger is completely covered in this "fingerless" glove (b/c it's so long). So to use my phone, I have to use my middle finger. Awkward! I saw the reviews done some of the ladies, but figured they were really small people, or perhaps they may be exaggerating. NOPE!!! I was wrong, and now I'm stuck with these cartoonishly large UV gloves.

The Smallest Size Is Too Large for My Hands

The material in these gloves felt really nice and the color was nice but the S/M was huge and flopping around on my hand. Some of my fingers were totally covered and the glove was slipping and that made the fingers go further down over my fingers. Returned them and the refund was promptly processed. They would be great for a man I expect.

They’re larger than I expected

Heads up for any smaller handed men or women, this is a unisex size. I’m swimming in mine. They do their job but they’re less comfortable than I’d hoped for that reason. Also a little pricey.

Dumb Design

The picture should have tipped me off. Each of the fingers starting from the pinky get longer and longer. So the cloth for the pointer finger is longer than the one next to it which is really the longest finger on the hand. The small/medium might be okay for a man but not for a small woman. Fat fat fingers. It does not narrow at the wrist so it is going to slip off very easily. I would have expected better for Columbia and for this price. I don't have the patience to send it back and start looking again. The fabric is the "right" thickness and breathable and the palms and figer fronts do have grips. I cut the over-long fingers and plan to sew elastic around the wrist area but I shouldn't have to, should I? Shop for something better
