Best foot file I've ever owned

My feet have never been smoother, it doesn't break apart even after I scrubbed it and washed it a gazillion times. Best $5 ever spent

Does what it's supposed to

Glad a friend recommended this. My feet needed something in my old age - a foot file, pumice stone, one of those scary cheese-grater-like product. I tried a file that cost $50 and didn't do much, while I listened to my friend talk about vacuuming up dead skin after every use of this particular foot file. I've learned that coarseness matters, it's helpful that this offers 2 choices for it, and I think my feet are grateful for it as well.

Works great over a year later! So amazing to have smooth feet!

I've only tried one other similar foot buffer, and this one worked better. Works wonderfully! I only wish the handle was fully rounded and/or not as wide so it would be easier on my sensitive hand to handle. It is smooth and kinda rounded on the sides, but the width and shape overall is still kinda hard on me. I've had such dry feet for so long, and it's bothered me so greatly, down to the horrible sound it made against the only sheet I'm able to use... I had only had a metal grater type before this, and I threw it away right after getting this; I can't believe I ever used that; maybe once ever have I ever MAYBE needed that level/kind in my life; I have permanent scars from the metal kind! How did I not know about other options, yarg! I have only needed to use the rougher side of this once or twice, then I have only used the less rough/black side ever since to keep re-smoothening my feet. I started using it at the end of my baths, and my feet are extra sensitive then so I started using my Coochy shaving cream stuff along with it to help with the friction (friction is typically horrible for me with my hypersensitive skin and pain disorder.) So it's gotten totally wet repeatedly for over a year, and it has not peeled at all for me. I'm glad I finally bought a hook to add to my shower to hang it up by it's rope loop, too. It was so amazing to finally have smoothed feet and keep getting it!!!!

Best foot file ever!

I purchased this foot file back in December 2019 and it has lasted 3 years! I'm ordering a new today and hopefully it will last as long as the first one, thanks!

Longevity of file

One of the sides which was the smoother is already pealing from wood..so I don’t like that since I have had it for a short time

Not for use in the shower

Not for use in the shower. This is basically two different grits of sandpaper glued to a wooden stick. If you get it wet the sandpaper will peel from the stick. Guess what happened after one use? It peeled. Awful. Would not recommend at all.

The Absolute Best Foot File, Period.

I had this exact foot file a few years ago and was never able to find one again until I stumbled across this one on Amazon. This file is of high quality and will last a good while. The two different sides are perfect and really do a great job at giving you baby soft heels. I like to do a little bit everyday in the shower instead of only doing it every so often making it much easier in the long run. And all the ridiculous reviews I read saying that the grit is too rough, what did you expect from a foot file? The sandpaper grit is exactly the way it should be, nothing more and nothing less.

Works well but doesn't last very long

This file will perform well for about 2 months, and then I found it got really dull. I had a more expensive pumice stone before which lasted ages. You'l get a month or two out of this file, and then it becomes really dull and not as rough. It's good for a while but doesn't last very long relative to other products I've used.

Shreds feet, poor design, sorry I ordered it.. ..

Both sides are viciously course. One side should be finer to smooth skin after softening and exfoliating however both sides are extremely abrasive and extremely hard on my feet, even drawing blood when I accidentally rubbed the top of my foot. It is also way to thick in addition to being way to abrasive to maneuver around curves for finer areas. It's huge and it shreds as opposed to softens the skin on your feet, leaving them feeling just that way, shredded, dry, and rough. Perhaps for people with VERY tough skin or feet that are not cared for it might be ok. However for a natural redhead with soft and well cared for skin this "Foot File" is a major disappointment. I would think twice before ordering unless it fits your specific needs as described. I hope I can find another like my the one I had from the Body Shop.
