LOVE this doorknob set. It went my front door which is red. The builder had one of those generic stale looking plain "brass" looking sets on it. So I "upgraded". The door knob with this set is EXTREMELY heavy. VERY heavy. Real brass. Looks great with my red door. I would imagine it would look great with any color. But red or black doors with this set would look very elegant. Here are some things to note though. Just being helpful so you can make the correct decision. The door knob itself does not have a lock. So with this set the only lock you have is your dead bolt unless you buy another dead bolt and have that set up on your door. I have a security door on front of my door. It is always locked. So no issues there. The dead bolt (like the last deadbolt I installed) was a bear. I finally realized that you have to secure the security plate to the outside key hole portion of the deadbolt. THEN you have to attach the internal latch portion of the deadbolt to the security plate. And while Greandeur provides two small black screws for attaching the latch I didn't like the look. So I saved the two brass screws of a similar size from the doorknob/deadbolt set I was switching out with this one. It worked perfectly. I did have to paint around them but not a big deal. Expected that as the door was freshly painted.
