Great gift

Unique and quality knight helmet ornament

A unique Christmas tree decoration

This is a review of the Medieval Helms Totem - a Christmas tree ornment which is fairly heavy at 122 grammes. It's likely to cause thin Christmas tree branches to bend under its weight so you'll need to be careful about where you hang it. This is a totem, I guess in the sense that American Indians had totem poles. This one comprises of three medieval knight's helmets in a column, with the top one wearing a Santa Claus bobble hat. It's all topped off with a metal loop attached to a length of gold braid that allows you to hang it from your tree. This totem is made from cast resin and the helmets are painted in dappled black and metallic silver. Various elements of the helmets then have small amounts of gold metallic paint which makes the whole thing look fairly metal-like. The santa hat is painted a nice shade of red that sets of the silver and black helmets well giving the whole thing an unexpectedly Christmas-like vibe. This is a nice item that looks like it will last many years.

Original design with a sense of humour :)

Made from crushed stone and resin this totem style Christmas tree decoration is very original in design with it's three period helmets topped with a traditional Father Christmas red hat with pom pom. The gold detail on the top and middle helmets compliment the gold hanging ribbon. Well made and accurately portrayed in the picture, this manages to be both very original and also very traditional at the same time. For anyone who appreciates history, re-enacters, or just those who have an eye for the unusual. The ornament is quite heavy compared to ordinary tree ornaments, but would be fine hung a little further along a strong pine branch.

A highly unusual Christmas decoration. I'm really not sure of the link between medieval helmets and Christmas, but anyway... As a tree decoration, this is far too heavy, not sure how a branch is supposed to handle this. However, it is very well made and the weight just emphasises to quality. I think I'll try to find a place to stand it up to show off. No doubt it'll trigger many questions from all those who see it. I received this as part of the Vine programme, so my review is based simply on the product itself having not paid for it. I am quite shocked now i've seen the price. It certainly isn't worth £20!

A re-enactors Christmas delight.

Christmas Tree Ornaments - Medieval Helm Totem Holiday Ornament - Knight Helmet Armor Totem Statue - Christmas Decorations The decoration. This is a Christmas decoration formed of three medieval helms. Quite quirky and fun and ideal for our household as we are re-enactors. As for its wider appeal I am not sure but I can see re-enactors loving this and it makes an unusual Christmas gift as well. It is very well made (so it should be for the price) and great fun. Overall. A fun decoration, well made and makes a great gift if you know any medieval re-enactors.
