What's included: - 4 bottles Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Hydrating Body and Face Wash Dove's Clean Comfort Hydrating Body and Face wash package comes with four bottles each 532mL in size. The bottles a flattish which makes them easily fit into most shower caddies. The one caveat regarding the size of the bottles is the height, which is about 8.75 inches, so if you have a double-shelved caddy, this height may or may not require you to place the bottle in the upper shelf depending on the distance between your shelves. The bottle is marked as Hydrating with skin strengthening nutrients with an interesting catch phrase of "micro moisture" which Dove states is some kind of "technology", although its more likely a bonding reaction of some sort. Furthermore, the bottles I received do not look like the ones in the Amazon listing and the ingredients list is different from the Amazon listing as well. The ingredients on the bottle actually read as follows... Water (Eau), Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, PPG-9, Iodopropynyl, Butylcarbamate, Alpha-Isomethyl Iodine, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Linalool, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Red 33 The body and face wash contains a number of ingredients that I am not particularly fond of and the level of synthetic based ingredients is long. For example the yellow, blue and red synthetic colors really have no benefit one way or another for the body/face wash but they are just extra chemicals one will be applying to their body. Additionally, the synthetic based fragrance can cause irritation. The inclusion of SLS is also yet one more synthetic chemical that can cause irritation so I would caution those with sensitive skin that this maybe a face/body wash that may irritate you. This may also be the first body wash that I have reviewed to make use of three synthetic colors. The saving grace as far as I am concerned is the use of glycerin to help in the moisturizing process, however given the overwhelming use of other potentially irritants, I question how much 'value' there really is in terms of what one applies on their body. As far the performance of the product I would state that it is average at best. The gel is more on the liquid side unlike for example Olay's Fresh Outlast body wash or even Dove's own Body Love line and so you find yourself potentially needing to use more of the gel itself. At the same time, the gel lathers very well, but again, due to synthetic helpers since we tend to be more attracted to body washes that give us that lathering feel as if to suggest they clean better which is not necessarily the case. The scent is nice and not very strong which I appreciate, and my skin does not feel as dry as with others I have reviewed, and also not as hydrated or moisturized as something like SheaMoisture body washes - I put the hydrating or moisturizing effectiveness more in the middle compared to others I have tried. This is also not a body wash where you are going to smell its scent for a particularly long time after coming out of the shower. In the end, when I come out of the shower, I can't say my skin feels particularly rehydrated. I would hesitate to recommend this product to those with sensitive skin due to the many potential irritants. I also would note that this is stated to be a face and body wash, but for my face and for most people's faces vs body, we probably shouldn't be applying the same product to both given the nature of our skin especially over a long period of time. Where I would recommend this is perhaps for those with normal skin types and those on a trip where the 2-in-1 functionality may be handy and convenient, but even there, given the ingredient list, I can't give this an overwhelming endorsement. Just because something is targeted at men doesn't mean it necessarily has to be filled with synthetic chemicals. You know the saying "you are what you eat?" well, "your skin is only as healthy as what you apply to it", and this is not a body wash that I would necessarily reach for in the future. Cheers.
