The leather seat measures 17" but from the sidebar of the armrests it is only 15". Have to squeeze a little to get into seat. Also, she mentioned that the footrests were on backwards. I worked on them for over 1/2 hour to figure out what was wrong. After reading her review I turned the bottom pipe around and the footrests were not only in the correct position, but they also locked like they should. E&J needs to tell the assemblers in China that they are putting the footrests on backward. I have been around wheelchairs for 54 years (my husband) and those footrests had me confused until I read her review.

Thank you to Barbara and to Elly reviews! The footrests are assembled backwards from the manufacturer. Per their reviews, I was able to correct the issue. I turned the bottom pipe around and the footrests are now in the correct position and are properly locked

I have the same version from about 10 years ago. This is a bit heavier

I wish there was more specific info about the weight of this. It's as great as the same one I have had 10 years except, oddly, it's a touch heavier. Having a bad back, which is why I use this to sit rather than stand or to sit in when I'm at a place with nothing but hard chairs, the beauty of it was that I could lift it and put it into my Rav4 easily since it was so incredibly light. I can't tell but this version seems to be maybe 3 to 5 pounds heavier. Bummer. Other than that, the prior one lasted me 10 good years and it's still servicable just a brake broke and the padding on an arm got a tear and tore off part of that black covering. I wanna donate it to a thrift store since someone can still use it. This is a great product.

Easy rollin'!

Chair works great for our purposes. It came with an extra strap with "hook and loop" closures that I have no idea as to it's purpose or use. No mention or pictures of it in the instructions, etc. I imagine that it is used to hold the chair closed, but it doesn't seem to correctly fit anywhere on the chair for that purpose. Anyway, the chair itself is easy to move and stores well enough in our car. We do have to remove the foot rests in order for it to fit in our car's trunk. This would probably not be necessary in a bigger vehicle, like a mini-van or cross-over. Overall, we are very happy with our chair, and love the beautiful red finish!
