I spent hours looking for a bag that was *just* the right size for me. I wanted something big enough for my MacBook Air, a couple of notebooks, pens, mobile phone, and all my usual kit. Everything I found was either too large, too small, made from too many synthetic materials, or extortionately overpriced. Those that nearly fit the bill for the MBA were often too thin to comfortably hold the rest of my accoutrements. (Hey, bag makers. Remember notebooks? Real, bound notebooks, filled with paper? Used with pens and pencils? Some of still actually write, you know...) I stumbled upon this one, a bargain at the price, and though it appeared it might be a snug fit, decided to give it a go. It *is* a slightly snug fit, which is actually ideal. My MBA fits nicely, along with a journal, a kindle, a leather case with my pens, my phone, specs, chequebook, and there are a couple of pockets left over. The construction seems quite solid, the strap is wide enough to be comfortable (though some padding would be a nice plus), and it's nice enough looking. Sure, it could be a bit more hip, maybe a little more urban chic, but you have to pay for that... I'd love to see some additional features, like pen loops, and something other than velcro to hold the pockets' flaps in place, but this would all add to the cost, and isn't really that important. The interior has a zippered pocket, not quite as wide as the bag, and the zipper may scratch the back of the computer, so beware of it, but this is the only thing I'd really consider a design flaw. For the price, this bag is hard to beat. So, 11" MBA users frustrated by the dearth of bags of an appropriate size, not wanting to have their little laptop swimming in a vast sea of empty space (really, who needs a bag that's nearly 20" wide, anyway? What do you carry in there?) you can be comfortable knowing this one will fit nicely, along with the a few other necessities. Glad I found this one.
