best looking formal shoe i own thus far.
This is the best looking formal black shoe i’ve ever bought. And i already bought the brown color of this same shoes last year. WEIGHT This is not a light weight shoe. A little heavy in weight but the weight makes it feel more comfortable. Construction Shoe has Goodyear welted sole. Leather midsole ave rubber heels. Really sturdy construction. Nice frye leather upper. SIZE I usually wear 7.5 in frye, Aldo, Colehaan shoes. 8.5 in Nike and Altra sneakers 8 in Solomon, Brooks sneaker But for this shoe i bought size 7. I am unable to wear size 7 with thick wool socks. but it fits perfectly with formal socks. at the beginning slipping into half smaller size (7 for me) will be tough. But I already have same shoe in brown, by experience i can tell, after the shoe breaks in 7 will fit perfectly. However if you’re buying boot of this same style (frye paul boot) then DO NOT size down. I once bought 7 in Frye-Paul-laceup-boot but it was too small to even put my feet in. 5 stars

Well, they’re Frye, so if you have any other pair you know what you’re getting from a material and craftsmanship perspective. And they’re actually Frye - not some knock-off garbage pair you wished you never bought after they arrive. Beautiful color, classic style and impeccable attention to detail.
