Great Set But The Figures Won't Blend In Seamlessly

This 3-pack of vipers is a fine addition to any Cobra army but be warned, these vipers won't play well with other vipers! The sculpt is identical to the Target exclusive Scalper Island (sorry, Cobra Island) vipers, and the accessories are nearly identical as well, but there some additions here that definitely set this pack apart. The officer has a unique pistol and all three have more realistic combat rifles instead of the Target viper's futuristic rifle. The pack also comes with two Target viper rifles and an assortment of blast and smoke effects. All of the rifles have detachable magazines, and the effects are compatible with all of them: even the underbarrel grenade launcher accepts effects. Lastly, there is a suppressor that can be attached to any weapon, even the grenade launcher. The officer's pistol has a fair paint job, but the red paint is a bit too thin and you get some black bleed-through, especially on the top of the pistol. The fanged skull on the grip is a nice touch. Paint is where you'll see the biggest difference, and I'm not talking about the difference between the officer and his two vipers. I'm talking about the difference between the Target viper and this pack. The vivid reds and blues and the shiny faceplate are all dulled down to a bleakness that feels completely put of place with nearly all of the figures in the Classified lineup: even the black body armor is dull and faded. If it were just the officer, I could chalk that up to him being just that; an officer. Unfortunately, its is a huge, glaring difference that can't be missed when you pose Target vipers with these guys. Overall, the paint on the new vipers looks good, but I do have some stray red paint on the helmet of one of them (it's not especially noticeable). The packaging is more of the same windowless, plastic-free business that we got with the recently released blue ninja 2-pack. The "locker" for this pack was just a black box that sat above the figures. I'm becoming used to it, and I do like the box art. Am I happy I bought these figures? Yeah, I guess so, but I'm not overwhelmed. At least not like I was with the blue ninjas, but maybe that's because I already own Target vipers and was a little dismayed by the color difference. Do I think you are getting fair value for this pack? Probably not. The ninja 2-pack was half of this pack's price at roughly $45, and even though you get 3 figures here and an arsenal of weapons and accessories, I'm not sure it warrants and almost $100 price point. Anybody who already owns Target vipers in a comfortable number can safely pass on this unless they really want that viper officer or the accessories.

Snag a couple of these bad boys, they have great weapon effects. Also the figures are well painted.

Good troop builder

I enjoy these figures. One of the figures is designated an officer or leader, which is sporting an alternate color scheme. There are several weapons and some weapon effects. I think at the 70 dollar price point, these are an ok deal, but at 60 I would buy multiples.

Excellent packaging

For collectors, we appreciate if the figured are well packed and shipped with care. This was a very good buy for me. Seller shipped it with original hasbro box in a box with plastic wrap. I would give it 5 stars anytime!

Great army builder!

The Vipers are sort of the SWAT troops in the Cobra army. The sculpts are well-done. Articulation in the torso is restricted by the vest, but otherwise, it’s great! The accessories are perfect, even coming with several blast effects. The price is a bit steep, though; I was fortunate enough to get my set on sale. That said, great army builder and I’d recommend grabbing this while you can.

Same as new.

I bought this "like new" item. The box had minor dent on it. For collectors this would not be a huge thing as the box was for the most part intact. The minor dents were repairable if needed. The figures are awesome and saving some money is always a plus.

Cobra Rules !!!

A nice product. A full of accessories. A good buy to build an army. On the other hand, the plastic is not very rigid and the joints are fragile (especially at the leg-pelvis junction). and for me, a broken googles. :(

Army Builder Heaven

I bought this set when it was on sale, making it my fourth Cobra Viper three-pack. I only have a single Cobra Island Viper so I was happy to add these guys and shore up my Vipers. The original Viper is much brighter than the new ones, but these are great as a set, although a bit too expensive. I was not sold on the Viper Officer until I got them. They are good and can easily be exchanged for regular Vipers. Do warm all your figures in hot water, especially the officers' whose drop joints are weaker than the others. The extra gun effects will be useful for all of your Joes and Cobras, as Hasbro has not sold them separately along with extra back packs, gear, and weapons, like when we were kids. I don't really care for gun smoke effects but some of you do. I added some Python Patrol Vipers to the gang, and now, I really have an army developing, next to my existing Cobra Infantry and Troopers. I don't understand why this line is not more popular as the troops are perfect fodder for other displays and action lines.

Belle ensemble de figurines

Belle ensemble de figurines malgré qql anomalies dans les couleurs de la peintures (1 gant noir et un autre gris), et difficile à maintenir debout. Par contre, malgré les petits problèmes suivant, j'aime bien l'ensemble, les accessoires sont intéressants et la boîte est superbe.

Great for army building

Great product when it was on sale. Not sure if I would pay full price given that it still suffers from the pretty common QC issue of on of the figures having the wrong forearm colour. But if you are not opposed to painting it yourself, or intend to not remove its gauntlets, then it will be fine.

2nd times a charm

The box was badly damaged with travel stickers stuck all over it. I returned it and received the replacement in perfect condition. If you are a collector and value the packaging as part of the product then don't be afraid to return items that aren't up to your standards.
