They work

They do as I expected. We used to have an auto switched. It would turn lights off and on at the “correct” time. And often it was not the correct time. I put these in and they do exactly as a I wanted them to do. They go on at dusk and off at dawn.

On the front porch

The light comes on when it's dark and goes off at light. It saves me from having to remember to turn it on and off, so it saves times and money. The light is very bright.

Not Motion Detecting

I made a mistake with these as I really wanted motion detecting bulbs. These work well, but come on, and stay on, from dusk to daylight. They are bright and so I found a place to use them. Perhaps they will increase my already sky high electric bill though.

Stay on most of the time

Have used Philips dusk to dawn bulbs with great success but Amazon was stocked out so I tried these from GE. The GE seem to require more direct sunlight in order to turn off. I have one in an area that is lightly shaded for much of the day and it it stays lit. I switched it to a Philips and it works as it should. I tried another GE to make certain it wasn’t just the one bulb malfunctioning, but it too stayed lit for most of the day. For my application, Philips is the way to go.

Sometimes doesn't turn on.

Received a 2-light box that had clearly already been opened, and the bulbs were loose in the box (not in the cardboard holder). One of the lights seems to work fine, the other, on occasion, does not turn on. I have to turn off the light fixture, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on again for the bulb to work. Not ideal for a "set it and forget it" solution. I'm disappointed; I didn't want to have to check every night to see if the light came on.
