Perfect fit

Took about 10 seconds to remove old filter and install this. We have a reverse osmosis system for the filter replacement cost was unnecessary instead we got this and now we have even better pressure too

Strong water flow restored!

For the last couple of months the in-door water dispenser of our GE fridge (model GSL25IGRE BS) has been gradually slowing. It got to the point it was taking 1-2 minutes to fill my large cup every morning. I knew this was likely due to the filter (GE Smart Water MWF cartridge) needing to be changed. Prices have gotten insanely high for these filters so I looked at generic/off brand replacements. They aren't much better as far as price point and I was concerned about several reviews noting a problem with them cracking or bursting and making a huge mess. Since I live in an area that has some of the best water in the country already I opted to try this bypass. It worked Great! Took the old filter out and twisted this bypass in and all was made well with the world... well, at least our water dispenser is working normally again. If you live in an area with lower quality water or well water I would not recommend doing this for any long period of time, but it would at least let you know if the filter is your problem.
