Great Looking fixture that gives plenty of diffused light

I can't say enough about the light. ... I absolutely love it. We replaced our over kitchen table light and breakfast bar pendants with these fuxtures. I am using 60w equivalent dimmable Daylight LED bulbs in all fixtures and they put out more than enough light. If the kitchen fixture were not dimmable I would replace with 40w equivalent. The fixture uses three bulbs. The diameter is great and has good lighting spread. The fixtures have a glass insert that is very attractive and cuts any glare when looking up to the fixture and I also think it difuses the light. Light was very easy for my hubby and I to install as we were just replacing existing fixture. I first did all my measuring so I would know the hanging length - our table is bar height so our light needs to be hung a little higher than if over a regular dining table. The fixture comes with 4 rods and we used two 12 and one 6 inch piece - perfect for our application. I then threaded wires through tubes, screwed them together, put wires back through the canopy, and cut wires to correct length. While I did that my hubby took down the old fixture, changed out the bracket that mounts to the electric box in ceiling .... then we hung the new fixture. Entire time with both of us was about 30 minutes. WE DID TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT AT BREAKER BOX BEFORE DOING ANYTHING WITH THE OLD FIXTURE. Turned BREAKER back on and all worked great. Highly recommend this fixture as well as matching pendants.

Poor Quality and PlumStruck Did Not Honor Price Match Policy

I purchased two of these fixtures from PlumStruck. The first fixture out of the box was flawed. There was an intermittent 1/4" wide line of scratches in the finish running in a circle around where the globe attached. There was also a small dark mark of discoloration in the finish of the globe. The fabric sleeve that covered the wire cord was frayed where the cord rubbed against the metal edge of the fixture during shipping (poor packaging from Sea Gull). There was a loose screw rolling around inside the box - not sure if it belonged to the fixture or not. The overall appearance of the fixture was disappointing with thin material and a dull finish. It didn't look substantial or have any luster; rather it looked inexpensive and poor quality. I didn't bother to open the second box as I will be returning the two. After ordering, but prior to receiving the items, I found the exact same item online for a lesser price at New York Lighting. The items and the seller both met the specifications of the PlumStruck price match policy. I emailed PlumStruck to request a price adjustment to the lesser price. In this email I included a dated quote, forwarded from NYL, with a detail of the items and price as well as contact information for the sales person providing the quote. PlumStruck declined to acknowledge the quote and denied my request, stating that the item was listed on the NYL website for a higher price (despite a header on the website which reads, "Call for best price"). I will never purchase another item from PlumStruck.

Match for existing Pendant lights over kitchen island

This larger pendant light matches the three Sea Gull Pendant lights over our kitchen island, only in a bigger version. Great light that can take either incandescent or LED bulbs.
