Has the sizing changed?
I followed the advice of the other reviews and bought the slightly smaller size. They were way too small. Maybe they have changed the fit, but I just returned and bought the normal size my daughter would wear in the hope they will fit. Also the tie in the front doesn't make the shorts adjustable, fyi.

WAY Too Big - No Way to Tighten the Waist
I ordered a size 7. The delivered product says 8 on the tag sewn inside. The paper tag/price tag has 8 on it and someone handwrote "7" over the top of it. Even if I had the size 7 delivered it would be WAY too big for my daughter. The waist band "tie" doesn't cinch up the waist. So don't be fooled by the picture thinking that if you get a bigger size you could just tie it more secure on the waist. I think my daughter who is currently wearing 7/8 in normal clothes would have needed a size 5 in these board shorts. But that would have been way too short. I bought these on sale ($4) so it isn't worth my time and postage to return. But don't waste your money on these.

Way too big
Wow, these are HUGE! The drawstring, as with most board shorts, is just for show. My daughter wears mostly size 4-5 (100 Hanna, 5 in Tea), but the M/5 in these fell right off her. The colors are nice (blue, lime, aqua), pocket has velcro closure.

Super cute as pictured. My daughter is a slightly lean so the fit was somewhat large but I'm fine with that so she can wear them for longer. My one wish is that there was built in underwear but I knew that it wasn't included when I ordered them, so it's fine. I would recommend these!
