Disappointed
Was wanting a large spoon for crawfish pot and got this for $11. Tried to send a pic of this and what I got but couldn't get it to work. Anyway found a 36in. Spoon that I was looking for at WM of all places for $12. Better to shop around.

It is a big spoon use it for canning, works good. But makes hands tied, after filling 7 quarts with vegetables.

A good spoon for your cooking!
I liked this spoon because it had the length I needed to stir my wort when home brewing. My first all-grain batch had a very low OG because I had a small grain bag and couldn't stir the grains while they steeped. After getting the King Kooker spoon, my second batch had a much higher original gravity. Problem solved - long live the King!

Itchy in New York
Although many would use this for assorted culinary purposes, my intentions were far more unnerving. Being a tall man with itches that can't readily be reached, most backscratchers on the market come up short. They're usually 12" and made of wood and have some kind of claw end that is more frustrating than soothing. Enter the King Cooker 14103, with its 19.8" length that can reach everywhere, including that one weird spot you could never hit without it. The spoon edge is just sharp enough to satisfy those with thick skins, yet won't leave you with dermal damage. Highly recommended.

Good spoon, good price.
Nice heavy duty spoon. Nothing to complain about. Pretty good finish. It's not high end smooth but a good buy for what it is. It's not going to flex or bend unless you try to pry something with it or pick up a twelve pound turkey with it.

Exactly what was needed
Like many other reviewers, I bought this spoon for homebrewing. It's exactly what you're looking for when trying to stir wert in a large steel kettle. None of my regular kitchen spoons were long enough to do a thorough job. The slots are especially useful when it comes to the aerating stage, since we only do manual aeration. Sometimes a thing doesn't have to be a major innovation, it just has to be well suited to its task. This spoon is.

I've tried lots of slotted spoons in plastic and cheap stainless, and all of them were lousy. This one is a huge improvement- it wont bend, it's long enough to reach comfortably to the bottom of my stock pot, and it's well-proportioned. The only issue I have is the handle end, which being flat digs into my palm when I lift large things, like a chicken, out of the pot. That's not much of a complaint, and the price is excellent. Recommended.

This spoon is perfect for stirring my vegies while they are in the basket on the grill. I used to use a spatula because I did not have a spoon with a long enough handle for me to reach the back of my grill. This works perfect and it doesn't make some of my veggies jump out of the basket like the spatula did. It is a great weight too.
