really nice boots but run small in the foot

These come very well packaged by Milwaukee leather, which is a big plus, to keep them well protected from any damage during shipping, etc. These are really nice boots, they have some heft, but are not overly heavy, they seem comfortable and well cushioned in the foot, and like they would be very durable. The biggest plus for small calved people who can't find boots that don't bag out in the ankle or shaft, is that they are not too baggy in the ankle or shaft area like some of the other Milwaukee leather women's styles. But these run small in the foot! I wear 8.5 and the 8.5's fit more like a size 7.5 or 8, my toes ran into the ends. I tried a size 9 and they fit. So I would suggest order up 1/2 size, esp. if you have longer toes. The only problem is the place where the tongue is sewn into the back of the heel rubs your foot for a while until it softens with wear. Otherwise really nice boots. I ended up sewing the entire back 'tongue' in place on the boots around the laces, so it stays in place better, and it worked great.

Narrow ankles

I loved the look of these boots and was excited when I received them in the mail. Unfortunately I was unable to slip my feet into the boots. The opening at the ankle was extremely narrow. I could not even force my foot into the boots. I returned them and received a full refund.
