Good moisture on face

Not sure why the skin on my throat is different, but I can't use this there or I get an itchy rash. Great on face, even around but not close to eyes.

High quality, but a little heavy

This is a deep renewing moisturizer, and is great quality. However, it is a pretty thick cream, so I have to be mindful to put it on at least 30-45 minutes before bed, or else I feel like my pillow is sticking to my face. While this may seem like an issue, I actually don't mind. It's a small price to pay for a quality item.

best bang for your buck

Please mix with another moisturizer at first, it will make you peel at first WHICH IS NORMAL! Trust the process. I would do one day on and one day off. Stop using it a couple of days before any pool/beach days. Great formula, no fragrance, and i have oily acne prone skin and this is great for that as well.

Soooo...strong

I use a retinol on a daily basis, and this is like starting all over again. (Severe dry skin and peeling) Don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I am just using sparingly for now.

Great product, but the price changes daily

I've used almost one container in 5 months, and when I went to renew it yesterday, it was $49 from Amazon (but $22 from some other seller). Today Amazon priced the same thing at $27. The Neutrogena website has it for $35. There are negative reviews for old or opened product, so I'm suspicious of the cheaper prices. For that reason, I ended up buying it in a store instead of Amazon. As for the product, I'm pleased with the results on my forehead wrinkles, and when I also get Botox my forehead is glassy smooth. I can't tolerate it on my neck at all - after only one night my neck itches for a week. I appreciate that this product contains the strength on the label (0.3%) and wish all the retinol products had that information so I could confidently buy a weaker product for my neck.

Good so far

I just bought this and started using it on 3/21/23 but so far it's been great. It has a really mild smell compared to some other retinols I've tried which is a huge plus, I also love the amount you get for the price you pay. Retinol seems to be pretty pricey but for the amount you get vs the amount you use, this one is absolutely worth it. I also love the thick consistency of it as it's easier to control where it goes on my face. I'll update this review in a few months once I start seeing results but so far it's been great.

Learn how higher % retinol works cause it does

Several reviews complaining how it caused irritation, redness, and break outs after first week of use then returned and complained about this product. First, before using this product one must understand how retinol works. I have used prescription .05 retinoid for over a year but can’t tolerate it so I decided to go back to retinol and happy to find one that’s .3%. Retinoids increase cellular turnover and so your skin cells will push out impurities. This is the retinizing phase or commonly known as The Purge. It will get ugly, before it turns good (redness, flaking, break outs, slight burning feeling) usually lasting 2-4 weeks. So start slow, 2/week, then 3/week, until you can tolerate daily use. Sunscreen during the day is a must. And adding hyaluronic acid serum or cream as a base especially around the eyes and mouth helps. Stick with it and get over the purging phase and soon will emerge smoother, finer, more plump skin and eventually finer lines, lighter spots, and tighter skin. There’s no miracle cream, you have to give it time to work. Very pleased with this product, almost as effective as the prescription retinoid.
