Good filter
Update: picture is after month and a half. Lots of reviews say don’t catch anything. Yhese things work just as well as more expensive in my opinion. Will continue to buy. Original: It’s a pain to find my filter size around here. 20x30x1 I wasn’t sure what to expect with the mixed reviews. Filter slid right into the slot, perfect fit. More sturdy than cheap ones and better value than more expensive ones. Definitely a good middle ground. Will continue to buy.

Fit is much better than the Big Box store brand.
I have using this filter for several years now. I see NO problem with them and keep spares on hand. I do not have to winkle them up to get this filter to fit VS the big box store band. They also look better made not so cheap.

Great filter value; size is small and fit is poor.
These filters are great quality, with many pleats and metal-reinforced filter media. I am very happy with the filtering performance for the value, which is cheaper per filter than many competitors. There is, however, one very big, glaring flaw that will make me look elsewhere for my next filter. For some reason, the manufacturer makes these filters much smaller than their nominal size. For example, the 20x30x1" filter is actually 19-5/8 x 29-5/8 x 3/4" by their description. That's nearly half an inch smaller than nominal on length and width! For comparison, the Filtrete 800 MPR filters I bought are 19-13/16 x 29-13/16 x 13/16" actual dimensions. This size allows for a firm-but-not-difficult wedged fit so that the filter stays in place on its own. One wouldn't think that 3/16" smaller on the Nordic Pure filters would be a huge difference, but the poor fit is such a problem that it outweighs the better value and good performance of the filters. The result is that the Nordic Pure filter is far too small to fit into a standard filter housing. I had to cut my own cardboard shims out of a leftover shipping box and wedge them into the housing to make this filter stay in. As you can imagine, this is difficult and annoying to do for a ceiling-mounted air return. The alternative is letting the filters fit loosely and having them suck upwards (with a loud clang) every time the HVAC fan turns on and then fall downwards (with another loud clang) every time the fan turns off. This is very jarring, especially at night! Also, the poor fit makes me believe that some air is routed around the filter rather than through it, as evidenced by the dust on the filter housing behind the filter I found on my recent changeout. I have never encountered another filter that is cut so small, and I can't imagine why Nordic Pure decided to make them so small. Surely, there aren't thousands of people out there who can't fit normal-sized filters in their air returns, right? I'm disappointed because I like everything about the NordicPure filters (value, filtering performance, made in USA, quality materials), but the abnormally small size outweighs the benefits.

19.5"x29.5"x3/4" actual size
The description for these filters size show they are 19-3/4x29-3/4 which is incorrect. they are actually 19.5"x29.5"x3/4". I chose them for the tighter fit but unfortunately, they are the standard size. Box was also damaged so had to discard one filter and the rest are smiling at me ), but will still work ok. Overall, they are a nice filter and should perform fine.

When purchasing AC Furnace Air Filters we always buy a year's worth so we can change them out monthly. Due to all the dust in the area from farming that comes into the city, it's imperative to have a high-quality air filter. A previous brand we had been using for over 8 years was just so hard to come by, we had to move onto to another brand. After weeks worth of research we decided on Nordic Pure for varies reasons but they won extra brownie points for being made in the USA. I'm writing this review three months and three different filters later to give you an actuate review. We were impressed with the exact fit, 20x30x1, for the air intake in the wall. The pleated filter looks and feel high quality while true to the white color in the picture. There are arrows on the side of the filter directing the user to which direction to place the filter in the intake. After 30 days of use, the dirt build up was amazing. Even though the previous brand we purchased was a Merv 8 also, the dust collection was much different. I would like to note that we run our Bryant air purifier that is part of our heater system, 24x7. In the end, this will be our new brand to purchase and trust.

Every bit as good as the more common brands
Hard to find the specific size I needed locally. These filters seem to be every bit as good as any of the store brands I've seen. Seem fairly sturdy, right in the mid - range of quality of normal brands. Better quality than the cheapest stuff, and for my purposes seem no worse than big name brands that cost substantially more. Work well.
