I read a lot of reviews on these slippers and people seemed to like them a lot so I bought a pair. The slippers arrived in a nice box, and I was impressed over the box they were in its a fancy box with all sorts of instruction on how to wash and care for the product. Then I open it and take the slippers out, and Im examining them, and right away I see some small patches of the fur lining sticking out of the bottom sole on the side where it was sewn. Well not really a big deal, I took a pair of scissors and trimmed it down, but the point is these slippers were very poorly assembled in my opinion. To pay this kind of money I would expect a quality product, and these are definately not quality. I put them on, and they do fit, and they are fairly comfortable, I wear an 8 1/2 shoe, so I ordered a size 9 because of the fur lining, and they do fit, but I have had about 5 pair of moccasin slippers that were lined inside and every pair I have owned previously were great and comfortable also , and they were about half the price of these slippers. So far I have had them for about a month, and I wear them every day almost all day. Some people say they fall off or the back slips off but mine have never done that they are a snug fit due to the sheep wool lining which is very thick. This lining will compress over time, and the slipper will get a bit loose fitting I expected that but they fit ok. What I am very upset over is that they tell you these are all quality " hand made " and they are the very best you can buy, and I was under the impression they were made in the USA. Well the label says Made in China on them, and from my experience over the years is anything from China is junk. Who's going to go to China to see if these are made by hand? And how come the sheep lining was all sticking out around the stitching of the slippers? I had to trim them and I seriously doubt they are hand made. I wont buy anymore of this brand, I'll stick to buying the twenty dollar slippers I've had in the past they were just as comfortable and believe it or not they were made in the USA. Why dont you send them back you say? Well, they fit, they are comfortable and I'd be out more money to ship them back so I'll just keep them and learn a lesson. I dont know what all the fuss is over " Old Friends " products, I'm really not impressed by spending sixty dollars on a Made in China slipper, I also doubt the lining is real sheep wool as the box says, whos going to take a sample and send it out to get tested? I always avoid Chinese products when I can. My appliances are older and I've gone to garage sales, and estate sales and bought some really nice American made older appliance like vacuum cleaners, and kitchen appliances and they last and last. Personally I dont think these slippers will last long, I've worn mine outdoors a bit, and I notice already some wear on the rubber soles, after all its cheap Chinese material and probably has very little rubber in them. So in closing I'd just like to say that these are not worth the money they get, and they should state on Amazons description that they are Made in China. Buy American made, from America with pride by American workers. This is why our Nation is just about out of jobs today, we've allowed our government to ship all our jobs to China and the products made there are pure junk. I'll never buy Old Friends product again. Shame on Amazon for not disclosing the Coutnry of origin of this product.
