This could have SO easily been a 5⭐ review, unfortunately, I received the "nonconformer," not a 5⭐ item. I'll update rating & review depending on seller response. So, first let me say - I DO LOVE THIS! When I first opened the Amazon package, the only way I could foresee it being better, would've been if it was pink. It was packaged exactly as it would be if purchased in a retail store. Brand spanking new! And then.... 1st - When I first put it on her, the bottom side was twisting weird on her neck/chest and gouging the thick, stiff nylon into her flesh. When I took it off of her, After 20 minutes of trying to figure out why... I realized the bottom part was not only threaded into the sides upside down, but backwards as well. So, I fixed that, (with a huge eye roll and WTH sigh..) and finally got it to a point I could start adjusting the straps. That's when I realized the next issue. 2nd - It's oversized! Originally, I thought maybe these run large, and I needed a medium. That thought quickly dissapated, here's why. My girl has a girth of 27-28. Mfg recommends going up a size if between or unsure. Based on their size chart, 28 is a large, so I logically went with a large. I had to completely cinch down, every single adjustment...... Which in turn, placed every single "discomfort" (buckles, adjusters, etc) on the sensitive areas of her body. Adding the 20 minutes fixing freak issue #1, to the 30 minutes sizing it to her. I've spent almost an hour on what generally takes me 5 minutes when one of my girls gets a new harness. I finally get it adjusted to a happy medium; not as tight as it should be, but workable. Or so I thought. 3rd - When we went out for our walk, I had to stop 4 or 5 times, within 45-60 minutes to tighten everything back up, because it would start moving to one side. As annoying as all of the above were... NOTHING could prepare me for the next (and final) issue. 4th - Within the first 10 minutes of, not only our walk, but of even having a leash attached, the D-ring falls out. YES!! FELL OUT! How does that even happen? I should mention, it happened at the ONLY spot in our trail that's near ANY vehicle traffic - and it's a high traffic highway. I'd love to post a picture of the D ring, heck I'd love to see it for myself! But we were in 18" of snow when it happened. Fortunately.. I carry carabiner clips with me and was able to attach her leash back to the harness. But for several minutes, (several minutes too long), both of my girls' safety was in extreme jeopardy Attaching the carabiner clip through the narrow space, now vacated by the D-ring, was no cake walk. Especially while trying to hold dog 1 by her harness handle and the retractable leash handle for dog 2. Had I not taken a few hours between that walk and this review...this would have been 6 MUCH different review. Bottom line... There's always a few bad pcs in every lot run of any manufactured product. I got one of those; the exception, not the rule. Honestly.. sizing/fit aside, had the D-ring issue not happened, I'd have most likely rated it 5⭐ and not typed a single word in this box. But I got lucky and both of my girls are safe & sound & snoring! If the D-ring used on my harness is from a defective lot, other Pawrents need to know to check theirs!
