I had been searching for a product just like this: a beautiful glass that would not perspire on your hands and furniture, help keep your cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. It does just that, and is visually attractive as well. The curve in the surface creates a nice grip for your hand. The glasses are very nice looking and actually work quite well for insulation, keeping condensation off your tabletops. BUT...both of ours are broken in less than a year. The first one cracked AS it was being washed, carefully BY HAND in a dish-pan with warm water. It literally cracked with no pressure or contact with another dish, in my hands as I was washing it. We threw it out. The other one fell off a table onto our floor (about two feet onto vinyl linoleum). As an accident, I cannot fault it for breaking, but I do fault it for literally SHATTERING into dozens and dozens of pieces. My wife and I spent quite a long time picking up many tiny fragments of glass. We then vacuumed very thoroughly. We used high-intensity flashlights to look for pieces and then picked up more. The next day will still found even more tiny shattered slices and splinters of glass. That is the reason I am giving this product one star (even though it does function well and looks nice): the company clearly CLAIMS that the glass used is very tough. You have probably already read the product descriptions: "Heat and shatter resistant borosilicate glasses" , "Stronger and more durable than common glass", "Completely dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe", "Made of durable, heat resistant, mouth-blown borosilicate glass of the finest quality", "handmade glasses designed for lifetime use." Upon one cracking in my hand and the other shattering upon impact, I can without question tell you that the material used in the glasses I received is the most DELICATE and THIN glass that I have ever seen. I am also posting photographs in the product page of the shattered glass as well as a side-view of the thin-ness of a piece of the glass (piece held in my fingers shot with a macro lens). Please do have a look before you judge my review. Also, just of a note: I have seen claims made that Ozeri is a small American company. The box the glasses are packaged in clearly states the product is "made in China." I loved these glasses until they both broke, bragged about them to my wife and others. But, they are clearly not very durable. And for the price and the short life-span are very expensive (they cost $10 a piece). I had actually planned on giving them five stars and saying how wonderful they work and how beautiful they are. I wish I could find something similar to replace them, but I cannot. However, I will not buy another set as I would never be able to trust them. I am planning on contacting the company to see how they will honor the warranty (stated one year), and will report my situation later in this review. I hope my experience has been of some help, I am truly saddened that I am writing a bad review for this otherwise great product. ***UPDATE 3/3/2014*** After contacting Ozeri, they replied to my email within hours. They were friendly and helpful, and after getting my purchase info, sent out replacement glasses to me at no charge. The new set arrived in perfect condition. I must say that i am still very wary of the durability factor of the glass, but they are beautiful and functional glasses, and the customer service from Ozeri is very comforting. I have updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars because of that.
