Good concept but...
The media could not be loaded. Ok, first thing first this third generation lighted cap is going the right direction, very compact design and rechargeable is excellent, but the bad part is the hat itself is boxy and the light flashes on and off when charging which is extremely inefficient, not mention annoying, plus the outdated USB 2.0 plug needs to go as well. What they can do to fix it, upgrade to USB 3, make the battery little bigger,and drop the hat all together, I used goop off to remove the holder from the hat and hot glued it to my work hat, it works well but need more work, I would like to see just the light and holder sold seperate.

Best hat ever. The light is bright. Good for wearing ,doing early, or late outside chores. Charges very fast.

The new 3.0 hat is pretty good
This hat is nice, but it could be a little brighter. It's enough light to work with on high, but unless you don't have to move or look around (like at a dark desk) that's probably the setting you will need to use. I work doing commercial electrical installation and remodeling, and wear this hat every day as I am often in poorly lit areas. I like the new slide in to bill light design except for that when I'm sweating and nasty, I don't want to have to take my hat off to take the light out of the bill. It would be nice if it clipped in instead so that it could be slid foreword away from you, instead of towards your head. I will say it's nice to not send my battery pack flying every time I swat at a bee though, which happened to me enough times with version 2. Overall it works well, is comfortable and is just enough light.

Led shines on the work, not in the eyes. Switch takes getting used to.
A very handy bright work lite that is light weight, has three brightness levels and a broad beam of reflected light makes this a good tool for indoor and outside work.

It's a structured hat, doesn't fit right.
The light on the high setting lasts for a fair amount of time, but not as long as advertised. Takes forever to charge and blinks a bright light the whole time it's charging. Seems like a waste of charging time. The hat is structured. These never fit me right. The unstructured are much better, but I don't know if they have an unstructured one with this type of rechargeable light.

Functional but lacks quality control and aesthetic
For reference: The white line is the true Center point of the brim (visor). The yellow line is the symmetrical line of the LED light. The red line is the seam that joins the two front panels. Overall the light is good and it functions decently. But the fact is I will be returning this product. There's a significant amount of quality control issues on this hat. The overall comfort is tolerable and fine for the price point. However the lack of symmetry on three major parts of this hat is a deal breaker for me. The brim is off kiltered and makes no sense when wearing it on your head. Although the pictures do not do justice; in reality, putting it on your head will make you look ridiculous. The brim will be slanted one way, the light will be slanted the other, and the overall top panels of the hat will be slanted in a different direction. Overall great concept, terrible (borderline horrendous) execution. Will try to order another one and see if the next one doesn't have the same quality issues. Replacement hat arrived, this new hat's brim and light are in alignment, however the seam that joins the front two panels is slightly out of alignment. At this point I feel like this is the best version of this hat I'm going to get. Again, this hat functions well but it does have quality control issues.
