Choose a different faucet
I bought this faucet for our master bath remodel. I needed a faucet that had both hot and cold handles. I thought this one was pretty and would do the trick. I ordered it right away because they only had 1 left. We weren't to the point in our remodel that we were ready to put it in. When we finally got to the point where it was time to install it, we realized how difficult that would be. There is no plumbing running through the risers. You have to supply your own. Supply lines, similar to what you use for a toilet, were the best option. However, the supply line can't be too long because there is no room for extra in the riser, and it can't be too short because you have to have room to pull the line so that you can connect it to the water line. The big box stores did not have a length that was suitable. It might work better if you had a home where you could access it from below the plumbing. This faucet created a lot of tension between my husband and I. He dragged his feet about installing it because of the difficulty and not having a clear way to install it. The instructions and the website were absolutely no help. plumber wouldn't have helped because they would have had the same issues. Looking at other faucet options, we found that they did not have this sort of set up. I was willing to eat the cost of the faucet and ty to find something else. In desporation, I started looking for a supply line that was the right size. I finally found one on Amazon. I ordered it and thank goodness it worked. My husband compensated for the lack of having a long enough supply line by leaving the pipes in the floor loose. That way he got just enough wiggle room and stretch to pull on the pipe while connecting it. We were able to push some pea gravel under them for support. We made sure to put the risers as close as possible to the tub because we had read that there was an issue with splattering from the spout. Despite doing this, we still have an issue when we fill the tub. It splatters while it is running and when you shut it off, the flow slows and it runs back on the bottom of the spout and out onto the floor. They sold an extension for the spout but it was several hundred dollars. Keep searching for another option. This faucet was a nightmare and still continues to be one.
