I LOVE THESE!

Healthy air and having a healthy living environment within my home are so important to me. One of the ways I can make my home better is by removing excess moisture from the air, and preventing it from turning into mold and mildew on my surfaces. Say Goodbye to Musty Odors with Arm & Hammer Moisture Absorber

The Arm & Hammer AH Essentials Moisture Absorber is an effective solution for combating excess humidity and musty odors in your home. I have been using these for a while now and have noticed that it works better when placed at the corners of my room. When I do this, the beads melt quicker, indicating that there is more moisture in the corners of the room. This is a great way to target specific areas that may be more prone to moisture buildup. I have also found that if I don't place the absorber in the corners, none of the beads have started melting yet, and water hasn't collected at the bottom. In these cases, it may take some time for the product to work effectively, potentially longer than the 30 days I’ve been seeing if it would work. However, based on my usage, I think the Arm & Hammer AH Essentials Moisture Absorber is a reliable and effective solution for reducing excess moisture in the air. One of the most noticeable benefits of using this product is the improved air quality in my home. Since using the absorber, I have found that the air is fresher, and I can breathe more easily. This makes it a great option for anyone who suffers from allergies or respiratory issues. The Arm & Hammer AH Essentials Moisture Absorber is for anyone looking to improve the air quality in their home and combat excess humidity and musty odors. Works well but …

I’ve never used Arm and Hammer moister absorbers but I have use DampRid dehumidifier cans many times in the past. Setup and use of the A&H cans is the same as DampRid. Take off the plastic. Take the lid off the can. Open the bag of dehumidifier beads. Dump the beads into the holder in the can. Replace the lid. It’s easier to do than to explain/type. Put can in the spot you want to dehumidify. Throw away when full of water. In my case we have a place in FL with a lightly used guest bedroom. I typically keep a dehumidifier can in the closet. Over the first few days the A&H can seems to work as well as the DampRid units I’ve used in the past. I will say the A&H can is bigger and includes 1 Lb of dehumidifier beads. The DampRid units I’ve used in the past were 10.5 oz but both said they would last approximately 60 days. I don’t know if that will bear out and if so if that means the DampRid dehumidifier beads capture more water per oz of beads? I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Overall, I am happy with this item.

They do what they're designed for

These are a bit messy, potentially, to set up, but we needed them for under bathroom sinks. If you're in SW Florida high humidity climate like we are, you really want these to draw moisture out, especially in wetter areas of the house. And right now with no AC, thank you Ian, they're even more needed.

Seems to Be Fine

I keep a safe in my basement which can be moist at times. I haven't had any heavy rains since I put this in my safe, so I don't have any water collected at the bottom yet. However, I have noticed a difference in the air in the safe. It smells like nothing which is an improvement. Even with DampRid, it still had kind of a damp scent to it from being flooded and closed for a week without noticing. One thing I like better about Damp Rid is that the top where the holes are have fabric over it so if you accidentally knock it over, it won't spill everywhere. This is completely open, the top just helps protect from things accidentally falling into it. Overall, very pleased. Mine hasn't pulled any water in the time it's been in place (over a week) BUT I haven't had a lot of dampness or in and out of the safe in this time. It has freshened the air (but not a chemical smell, basically no scent) in my safe, so it is doing something!

Litter box stink be gone!

I wanted these to help with the smell of my two stinky kitties. The smells somehow seems to drift and I don't care for that. These work great at pulling in the odor! I have seen a noticeable difference!

Effective and truly unscented, but a little cumbersome to set up

I've previously used an Arm & Hammer deodorizing product that had an overpowering smell. This moisture absorbers are truly unscented even if you stick your face right in it, as I did for Science. Recently, there was an area of our house that had an.... incident. The less said about it, the better. The point is, I needed something to absorb odors fast, so I stuck one of these bad boys in the room. An hour later, the smell was completely gone. The only drawback to these is that unlike the Damp-rid products where the absorbing beads are in a mesh-like bag, these are in clear plastic bags that you dump into the container. I challenge you to do so without at least one bead falling on the floor and disappearing somewhere.
