Easier to install than having to tie mini shoestrings

Like Mr. Miyagi says... clip on, clip off. Don't forget to breathe. Bough some extra mantles for my propane lantern and no longer need dexterous child hands to tie off the mantle strings. After installing, be sure to light a match to these new mantles (search YouTube if you don't believe me) and they will turn white to brown/black and look to almost disintegrate before your eyes- then magically blow out and turn white again. Be careful as these pre-lit mantles are now brittle. Put the glass globe back on and screw on the cap. Do a test run of your propane lantern to confirm that the mantles hold gas that will up for your next camping trip. Let the lantern cool down before storing it all away again. Buy extra mantles as they are cheap and in case your glass globe brushes up against the or the mantle breaks on its own- you can easily replace it with these instaclips. Be sure to pre-light any new mantles that are installed before using them with propane gas. Happy trails!

good quality and convenient no tie clip. green tab came off easily while putting on and made install more difficult. But i will be purchasing again when needed.

Must have for propane lamps

As other reviews point out, the green plastic handles that are designed to make installing the mantles easier, only make it harder. They come off way too easily so you’re not able to use them to get the mantles installed. Regardless, it’s not hard to just open up the metal loop a little bit with your fingers and slide the mantle onto the lamp. Took about a min to install both of them. Definitely recommend over the tie version despite the useless plastic handle. ????

I can't find anywhere better than this

doesn't last longer, I don't know what im doing wrong but it last very little each one, at least should last more than 20 hours each one but still 4 stars, I can't find anywhere better than this

not worth the extra $$

first of all, this picture is misleading, these do not have the string ties, they are the instaclip version, as the description says. the mantle itself is good. it does everything that a mantle should do. it holds atomized gas and makes a bright light. my gripe is with the instaclip. i read the istructions and proceeded very slowly, with my tongue on the side of my lip. but as soon as the green border of the mantle touches the lantern interface, the clip turns coward, screams like a little girl, and detaches without a single backward glance. you need to work the mantle on a bit, but the clip does not want to work. it has been purchased and paid for and is now ready to enjoy its 4 year term without having to think or work. o, wait, mantles, yes, mantles. the mantle itself gets a 5 star, but the clip gets a 0 since i could not get it to do anything other than fall off and i ended up using pliers and my fingers. save your money and buy the regular style.

Asked for Two sets of instaclip, received one set of instaclip, and one set string tie. No appology. Got in touch ...no reply. Don't recomemd.
