Travel = small water tank, but otherwise works great!

I’ve never owned a garment steamer before, but I’d been considering buying one for a while. The thing that pushed me over the edge was when the dress I bought to wear to my baby shower arrived super wrinkly. If there’s anything I didn’t want to do at 34 weeks pregnant, it’s stand over an ironing board carefully trying to smooth out wrinkles on ruffles. This garment steamer heats up quickly and works well. It’s small enough to fit in a suitcase without much trouble, and I think I traveled at least one way with water in the tank without any leaks. For a quick pass over a dress, it can just barely make it on one tank, and takes maybe 10 minutes. For more detailed steaming, or more wrinkles, I had to refill it midway through the job. But again, it heats up pretty fast, so that’s not much trouble. I don’t think I’ll ever travel for anything that requires formalwear without it again. The experience of steaming an outfit is just so much quicker and easier than trying to deal with a hotel iron.

Steamer does the job

This steamer does a 80/20 job, gets 80% of the job done for 20% of the effort. I just tried it on a variety of fabrics, cotton, rayon, linen. It worked on all of them, even the linen, on turbo. The 5 steam settings really work on a variety of fabrics. Heats up quickly and water reservoir is easy to fill. It's not perfect but I got 10 short sleeve shirts done in under 15 minutes. I used it on printed fabrics and for very little effort got something that's presentable. Heck, I'd get the same wrinkles from using my seat belt! I used a clean oven mitt as backing to provide support and this worked great especially on sleeves and collars.

Great steamer

I purchased this to steam my denim jacket's pocket flaps and the edges flat. Well it woked somewhat but the bottom edge is still really wrinked and folded over and one pocket flap is better than when it first came out of the dryer. So, not good for demin. But I steamed several wrinked work blouses and it worked great! I am a novice when it comes to garmet steaming, so I had to go over the sleeves several times, but it got out the wrinkles. I ran out of steam because I did my denim jacket first; but the steamed side is very noticable vs. the unsteamed side. My blouse feels damp/cold, but that's okay. I plan to wear it to work tomorrow, so I will see how garmet steaming it the day before holds up overnight. I will also garmet steam some of my blazers that I don't wear because they are very wrinkled after I put them in my regular washing machine - lol The water fill area is small but I did not have a problem refilling it and continue to steam my work blouses. I ordered a steam glove and I am waiting for it to arrive. Note, when I was trying to smooth out the edge of my denim jacket by holding the edge out but closest to the steam hole area, I burned myself, so be careful; I also had the steam on the highest setting.

Why did I wait so long to buy this?

This does exactly what I need it to. I had been skeptical of steamers because I’d had one in the past that took ages to make any impact on wrinkles. So I was ironing, and it was a pain in the butt. This works like a dream, it feels like the wrinkles just magically fall away from the fabric. I first used this on the morning of a work event, when I realized I had forgotten to de-wrinkle the new blouse I wanted to wear. The entire process from plugging in to being done was less than 5 minutes.

Must have when taking suits on a trip

I bought this after receiving a recommendation from a friend. I travel a lot for my job and must wear suits. I have a good garment bag, but some wrinkles always find their way into the suits and dress shirts. I've had too many shirts ruined by hotel irons, so I needed a good solution to get that professional look. This steamer does the trick. It's not small, but it is able to fit in my carry-on or garment bag. It only takes me about 45 minutes or so to get wrinkles out of 5 suits, ties, and dress shirts. The temp selection ensures that even my delicate items can be steamed. The water tank is an okay size, but it works for at least a few items before refilling. I will certainly buy again if I ever have issues with this one.

Great steam

Liked the multiple steam levels. Produces steady stream of steam for quite a long time. This steamer is quite large, top heavy and awkward to hold. Purchased because of the good reviews and I have had several smaller, compact models that died in less than 6 months. Hopefully I will have better luck with this one!

You Really Need To Buy This!

I have ironed all my life. About 20 years ago, I bought a small steamer and was not impressed with it. It is still in my closet. In fact, I'm giving it away tomorrow. But I have always enjoyed ironing but recently revisited the idea of a steamer. After a careful research and review, I decided to but this one. Folks, let me tell you I was blown away with how well it worked. I brush the fabric a little before using the steamer, which helps the steam do its work, and the end result and ease of the process really shocked me. Looks like I might be giving my iron away soon, too!

Good steamer

This is my second steamer like this. I’m not fond of steamers . I guess it depends on the job u need doing, I find ironing to be just as fast for the items I iron or steam.. However it does work well for easy things like t shirts , jogging wear and jeans, and no water spatter. Heats quickly, fills easily.

Ordered from Amazon UK, came with US plug that is 110V.

Not compatible with UK sockets

Sadly this product is not compatible with the UK electric system even with a suitable adaptor. Returns can only be made to the US which is extremely expensive! I’m sure it works well…in the US.
