Make sure you have a 9/16 bit 1st

Fair warning 9/16 is not a common bit. I ended up having to buy a 5 piece drill bit set from harbor Freight after neither lowes or Home depot carried the right bit. Since this was going on our front steel door i didn't want to use a spade bit or try a 1/2 bit and get try and force it in. However once i bought the right tool for the job the knocker installed in seconds and looks/sounds great. Pro tip. Use a pilot hole all the way through then using the 9/16 just go half way on either side. Otherwise you'll end up with a nasty looking "bullet hole" vs a clean neat circle.

Looks nice!

I received the Knocker today, February 25 2015. The main package was open, but the product itself was sealed in a plastic baggie. IT didn't seem to have any damage so I put it on my door. It was easy to put on but u need to support the weight of the knocker while screwing it on. There's a hole for a screw but, no screw in the package and not sure if there is supposed to be one. it doesn't exactly match the hardware on my door but It Will work.

Very nice, but larger than some being replaced

Very attractive replacement door knocker and peephole. Just be aware that it's larger than many existing ones, esp. for apartments, and the pieces that fit through the hole in the door are likewise a bit larger. Thus, I had to make the hole slightly bigger to get the peephole embedded.

Looked for this product as a whole unit in local stores, but it was either knocker or view hole.. This product has both, easy to install and looks good, good price
