Ypatingai gražiai atrodantis lėktuvas Handley Page Jetstream buvo aptakus dviejų variklių turbopropelerinis lėktuvas, sukurtas kaip regioninis lėktuvas ir specialiai tam, kad patenkintų potencialiai pelningą JAV rinką. „Jetstream“ davė daug pažadų, ypač kai buvo užsakyta 20 orlaivių, dar nepabaigus projekto brėžinių. Orlaivio variklius atnaujinus su US Garrett TPE-331 turbopropelerine jėgaine, JAV oro pajėgos gavo didelį užsakymą, tačiau vėliau dėl pavėluoto pristatymo jis buvo atšauktas. Didėjančios sąnaudos lėmė Handley Page bankrotą, tačiau „Jetstream“ gamybą perėmė „Scottish Aviation“, o „Jetstream“ daugelį metų tarnavo kaip standartinis RAF kelių variklių pilotų treneris, o vėliau – stebėtojas. Check To See if All Parts are inside!

After I started putting the model together, I noticed that all the pieces were not in the box for the wings. The wings had a bottom section, actually there were 2 of the same bottom wing sections but NO top sections. This is not the seller's fault, the fault lies with the Manufacturer. I wrote the company, but as of this date, I have not received a reply. I've purchased Airfix models before & have always had all the parts & pieces inside, sometimes a lot of duplicates, this time they fell short.*****UPDATE: 07/18/2022- received a letter in the mail from the Airfix company stating that due to a shortage of parts, they are unable, at this time to send me the missing part & to contact them later in the year. Also, check with the whomever I purchased it from. Big problem, the model is halfway put together. Oh well for me. ****UPDATE: 07/19/2022- On this date, not only did the manufacturer leave out half of the wing assembly, it was discovered that there are parts included that didn't even go with this model & also that lots of parts were missing all together. I've purchased the Airfix models before and have always had good luck with them but, after this one, I won't purchase them again.

Nostalgic for me

Nostalgic kit for me as I used to build the real Jetstream. The kit is not the best. The moulds must be very old and there is some mismatch at joins. Not a great kit for beginners but good for someone who wants a slight challenge after starting on easy stuff.

A very poor quality model kit

The assembly instructions are very poor and rather confusing, whilst I am not the most experienced model kit builder, this is really a poor kit, lost of flash, parts do not fit together as they should and poor detail, ended up in the trash.....
