Sturdy for daily use

I use this every day to hold my taser holster to my vest. This works great and has held up.

Not Compatible With Omnivore Unless The Screws Are Longer

As the title suggests it's not compatible with the omnivore as I originally plan to apply this for a drop leg Molle, however the screws were a hair short to reach the screw holes. I could buy screws from home depot to make it fit but I'm lazy plus a waste of time to make a product work for something that should work with all it's company's holster types. Aside from this, the build quality is very sturdy and doesn't seem like to bend easily if you were going for a drop leg style. To me it seemed like the Omnivore holster from Black Hawk was an after thought when they were making Serpa Strike Platform to be compatible with their other holster styles.

Blackhawk Setup

I have a full blackhawk setup that i've gotten everything from amazon. The first thing i've noticed that some reviews have showed their STRIKE Platform has snapped. I personally have flat plates in my rig so i would imagine having curved plates adds tension to the Platform. I would also recommend using a plate carrier that has a taller top molle section. The way my Omnivore holster sits at the top rubs against my mag pouches I have on my rig. The other thing is that the STRIKE platform has slightly bigger holes in the base. So double check your screws and the female ends fight snug in the platform. I never ended up having the issue of the screw and nut end not tightening properly do to the female end not gripping enough to hold the tension. I just pressed really hard with a finger and it held just fine while I tightened. Though I would recommend drilling two half moons in the screws like one reviewer did to help with gripping and tightening.

Not a standalone product..

This backplate is so nice, easy to use, and well made. I used it to attach my Blackhawk quick disconnect system to my taser holster and put one of the quick disconnect pieces to this. It holds everything well and has just made moving the taser (straight or canted or from vest to belt) a breeze. Well worth it.

Works as advertised

I was hesitant after reading other reviews of it breaking in less than a shift but pulled the trigger on it anyways, so far I’ve used it for about a month and so far so good. Would be nice if it was made out of metal but for the price this works perfectly, can be a little difficult to install but after it’s on it’s not going anywhere without breaking.
