High quality product

Bosch tools are alway high quality. This particular drill bit is so specialized that it won't get used much. But I'm sure if I used it on a daily basis it would work flawlessly and last a long time. Bosch bits hold a clean edge and seldom ever need sharpening.

It worked peefectly.

This 16" spade bit did the job I bought it for. To drill holes through a 2.5"x12' laminated beam butted against the main beam to create a sister joist. It was both long enough (16") and sharp enough to get the job done at a fabulous price.

Works great if you're house was built with soft pine from home depot

Works great if you're house was built with soft pine or acacia from the home Depot and is maybe 3 months old. If your house contains any real wood studs, save your money. 2-3 holes max before you're smoking it.

This thing really goes at it, I was surprised, it went through studs like butter!

Broke during the first hole

I started to drill a deep hole in some green wood and that was both the first and last hole this bit got to attempt to make. I was impressed with the shorter daredevil bits at how well they went through hundred year old fir timbers so I had high expectations for this bit. Drove it in and then went to back her out to clear the chips and she snapped right off. The rest is still stuck in the wood until the end of time.

Great for what it was needed for

Delivery as usual was one day, the but worked a treat through 2 2x4 and a 6x6 at one time, the bit does have a max rpm on it (maybe some of the other reviews exceeded this resulting in breakage).. Either way I got it in a timely manner and it let me do what I needed to do so it was worth it for me.

Cuts fast and clean

I keep these in my tool bag for occasional use. I have auger bits for heavy use. I have broken many extensions or lost bits so these are my go-to when I have a few long holes to make

I drilled through a drywall and saw sunlight

I know this is advertised for wood, but I used this and drilled through an interior wall by mistake and it went through drywall, multiple plywood, 2x4s and eventually exterior bricks. So yeah kudos to it being so tough.

Muy buena broca de espada para perforaciones profundas en madera. Funciona de maravilla como cualquier artículo Bosch. Indispensable para realizar trabajos que requieren perforaciones de más de los 10-12 cm de las brocas convencionales.
