Does the job

Although I expected this to be a bit more sturdy it does the job and is easy to clean.

This is a cheap Chinese plastic bagel holder. Flimsy, but if you're careful, it works as advertised

We had to push the bagel into it. More work then I want to do cutting a bagel.

Not quite what I expected

It isn’t as strong and dependable as I thought it would be. It is rather fragile

Please don’t. Worse than just using a knife.

Trying to hold this bagel holder – without cutting your fingers – is surprisingly hard. Trying to hold this bagel holder – while also holding the bagel inside the bagel holder, without cutting your fingers – is practically impossible. If you only hold the holder, the bagel roles while you push and pull the knife, which prevents the knife from cutting the bagel. If you squeeze the holder and the bagel together, the holder pinches the knife, and you get a horrifying sound of plastic scraping metal, or you can’t cut at all. It’s also nearly impossible to get an even cut. At least 9 times out of 10, we end up basically shaving off the top or bottom of the bagel, or cutting diagonally through the bagel. Please don’t. I wouldn’t use this if it came for free with a bagel. Honestly. It’s harder than just cutting a bagel. Just lay the bagel flat on a cutting board, and cut it from the side. Or get a better bagel cutter.

Not an even cut. Hard to hold holder down.

Item arrived promptly & in good condition. However, tried to slice a large bagel. Got it sliced but not at all evenly sliced. It was hard to cut through & keep it from moving. Hoping it gets easier as i get used to it.

Happy not to slice my fingers when cutting bagels!

This does the job, though it might be easier if my bagels were fatter. The last one leaned a bit and the sides turned out unequal. But they worked just as well for me.

It certainly does what its supposed to do (hold the bagel for easy slicing), but unless the bagel is the exact size of this holder, it moves back and forth with the knife. For the price, it’s a decent value. Maybe I should find a different bagel shop?

Great until the whole thing broke apart

Was just what I needed until one day the whole thing split right down..really annoyed. Contacted seller who refused to exchange it so now it's in the bin. Only buy if you like disposable shoet term products which you lose money on.
