Adorable curbside appeal and...it works!

The media could not be loaded. With the last rain, we had issues with the wood chips, in our flower bed, alongside our walkway. We installed gutters and didn’t realize the downspout-runoff would cause a “lake” of floating wood chips! The water had no way to runoff into the driveway. The water stayed alongside the house. I went to the hardware store but didn’t like the plastic tubing to attach to the downspout. I thought it would look ugly in front of the walkway. I found this online but it was still too short to reach the walkway. I added a plastic downspout tray and needed about 3 more inches, otherwise I’d still have wood chips floating and blocking the flow of the rainwater. I put down a layer of pebbles to reach the walkway. Well, it just rained and I went out to video the result. Worked like a charm! I think the hummingbirds are cute but I wish they were permanently mounted instead of having to stick them in the holes on top. If you don’t know about the hummingbirds being detachable, you might throw them away with the styrofoam. I do wish it had a longer tray but it actually was the longest one I could find so it was the best choice. I think it looks so cute that it goes well with my fairy gardens! Very sturdy and heavy. I’ll have to see how much the paint fades in the California sun. Totally happy with this product!

Very cute for a fairy garden decor.

I purchased this whimsical item for the overflow from a small pond to run thru into my fairy garden area. I'm pleased with it's functionality, colors and design. We've had some high winds and it's stayed in place on the ground. It hasn't cracked or leaked but we don't have freezing weather where I live.
