Perfect size

Impressed so far

I hope this doesn’t stop working in a year like so many things nowadays. But for now, I’m impressed by its sturdiness and ability to light an entire room when set on the highest brightness level. However I still can’t figure out how to separate the top from the bottom part so I can hang it like a light. I’ll be keeping this handy for the next power outage.

My favorite

These are great so far. Not sure about battery life yet but the brightness and the white versus red options are just what I needed. With 3 D batteries it ought to last a while. Nice mounting features built in also for standing or hanging. The red light is a great night safety light for the chicken coop and the white feature does not bling your eyes like some of the LED lights I had. Got another one for myself to carry to the barn at night to stand in the corner if I have to attend to animals after dark. Lights up the whole place. I am very happy with these.

Nice area light for power outages or work light

Nice area light 1250 Lumens for a power outage, water resistant, and has a rechargeable option. Although during power outages I'd recommend having batteries. The rechargeable option would require a spare battery or generator to recharge depending on the length of the outage. Claims overall cost cheaper than buying regular batteries, ZX1010 RECHARGEABLE BATTERY $40, You can use them to recharge your cell phone.

This is an incredibly well made lantern

I was very impressed with this lantern when I received it. It is incredibly well built. It does feel like a Mercedes in the way everything clicks and unlocks. The battery compartment is very well designed, and the mechanism for holding the batteries in is, well, perfection. The housing is a tough, rubberised (at least in feel) kind of plastic, but it feels very premium. I have no reservations about recommending this product at all. I can already tell it is going to last a very long time. In case you are wondering, the lantern is designed by a company based in the United States, but, regrettably, it is made in China. I really wish that weren’t the case, but for the moment any product of this kind is going to be manufactured there.

High Pitch Noise

This is a well built lantern for the money; has some pretty neat features. However, there’s a fairly noticeable high pitch ringing noise that gets louder with each setting. Not sure how long I could tolerate that for an extended period of time. I really wanted to return it, but I don’t want to be without some lighting during storm season.
