Use case

Good for a spare tool holster on a climbing belt, a little too bulky for a hip on the daily. Needs a hole for a caribeaner but not bad.

Bigger than I realized.

I got this thinking that I would use it for a razor knife but it’s too big for that. See photos for reference. It’s a great carrying case so I found another use for it. Klein makes great tool pouches. I’ve had a few and they’re all top notch.

Every lineman's belt needs 1

Always had a knife pouch on my old climbing belt and was really missing it with my new belt. I bought 2 of these pouches and some Chicago screws to install them with. Pretty clean and cheap way to add extra storage to a tool belt.

Sleek and durable

The media could not be loaded. To preface, I am a cook with a preference towards fixed blades in the kitchen, mainly due to ease of cleaning. The sheaths they come with are either chunky or too snug. Needed something durable and spacious enough to catch my blade and not look TOO conspicuous. This sheath REALLY hit the nail on the head. I cannot speak to its utility with other tools but as a holster for various fixed blades, this is an unexpected joy to use.

What Kind of Knife Fits this Holder

I have purchased numerous Klein tools in the past and have always been fully satisfied with all their products. As is the case with the quality of this knife holder. It just didn't hold my knife (Stanley combo folding blade/ utility cutter) with a good fit. I soaked the holder in water for several hours, wrapped my knife in a plastic bag, and forced it into the holder. This forced the holder into a form fit that was perfect for my particular knife. Work the soft leather into shape around the knife with your fingers and then let it dry completely before removing the knife. Actual time involved in performing the alteration was less than a couple of minutes - not counting soak and dry time. A little polish on the leather makes it look like a custom made item.

A must have.

One of my best work purchases. I work on an underground crew and I love splicing cable. Splicing often leads to a messy area around the hole you're in (if your grunt is slacking) and setting a tool down can mean time lost looking for it in the mess. This holster helps keep my most used tool in reaching distance and I cant reccomend it enough. I wear my knife on my side every day.
