Readable voltage is limited

Only registers max 200v. Should go to 250 for those of us who travel to areas with 220/50 voltages

Excellent tool for any electrician

As soon as one guy in my crew got this tester, everybody wanted it. Having the volt meter tied in simplifies troubleshooting and keeps you from having to pull your meter just to test an outlet.

Klein should stay with hand tools not testing

I liked the idea of reading the voltage while plug testing. It is biger, slightly heavier, & bulkier than a plug tester. Unfortionatly I can not recomend this. A tester needs to be simple and 100% reliable. The problem is it does not work without batteries. So a person thinking it works like a typical plug tester may plug it in, see it does not light up, and think the circuit is dead. The batteries could be dead but the circuit on. The next problem is it stays lit up and reading voltage for about a minuite after unplugging. So if your hot checking, even by the time you get to the next receptacle it may still be lit up and reading a voltage. You need to push a button to reset it before taking another reading. Again it would be easy for a person to hit reset and think it's still lit up the next receptacle is energised. It could still be used and there are tecniques to verify the tester before & after. But the point is it does not work like a typical plug tester.

Large, Easy-to-Read display makes this a must-have!

This product was a great improvement over my Klein Tools Outlet Tester that has no screen display. It's SO much easier to read!

Muy practico y robusto. Su tamaño no es compacto.

The media could not be loaded. Muy practico y guarda momentáneamente el resultado de la verificación aun despues de haberlo desconectado del tomacorriente. Es algo grande para usarlo en areas de acceso restringido y requiere baterias, pero vale la pena. De cualquier forma recomendaría tener tambien el modelo mas compacto sin pantalla.

So much better than standard 3 lights tester

I love this tester! It's so much easier to read, it shows exactly what the problem is on the LCD screen than reading from the old standard 3 lights tester. I found an outlet that was open ground with hot/neutral reversed, with the old tester I could only tell it was open ground but didn't know the hot/neutral was also reversed. With this new tester, it displays exactly what the issue is.
