Exactly what I needed

Very hard to find; even at electric stores. There are a lot of right angle plugs but the all go up or down. This one goes to the side which is what I needed. NOTE: 18 gauge wire! 16 gauge won't work.

This thing is a game changer! My sweet little yorkie bit my Christmas tree wire in two. I ordered this for an easy fix and my husband had my tree fixed in no time! You just open it up and put both wires in facing eachother and then close it shut! Wallaaaa. I will be ordering more to keep on hand just in case.

Fits and Works Well

Leviton Slim Wire Piercing 2-prong plug - Nice and compact, having this plug sit sideways makes it fit perfectly where I needed. Four stars because you need to be aware of just how the wire is laid in as you close the cover to pierce that wire. It can move out of position easily. Otherwise, no issues, just remember this is not for an application that requires a ground connection.

Replacing a plug couldn't be easier. Snipped the wire, popped open the plug case, placed wire in the internal track, closed it, and voila, had a functioning lamp again.
